Because diversity apparently makes flying / travelling dangerous, and the policy led to the wrong people being given important jobs... Even though there's no proof whatsoever that the pilots weren't cishet white guys. And his answer when questioned by the press, asking how he could possibly draw that conclusion? "I have common sense." Which is apparently more important than any evidence or facts.

And it looked like it was the army helicopter that crashed into the plane, not the other way around? But I'm not sure.
