Back in October last year I got a mystery box of schminke acrylic paints and then right before I left for the holidays I managed to open it and try the paints inside It was so ridiculously fun!! And omg high quality acrylics are a whole other world from what I’m used to, the good news is that I might actually like to paint with acrylic afterall (all these years I always felt like i was fighting with them when i used them) but the bad news is that i have expensive taste xD

I think the artwork/assets made for promotional products for that weird 2001 CG animated sequel to the Rankin Bass Rudolph special are adorable. It's seriously a shame that nearly all of it is basically lost media because I think they have some of the best 2D representations of these characters, and the very possibility a talented artist's work has potentially been lost to time sucks.
These are just the full images I could find, too, and they're still either low quality or have a watermark over them. Everything else is a mish mash of the assets from character artwork being used on covers with no rhyme or reason.
I still have half of the stickers on this sticker sheet from my childhood, and I have always wanted to see the art from them in a full high or at least clean quality.
I really hope the original clean art and assets of these pictures still exist somewhere out there and eventually turn up someday.

This painting took so fucking long if you don't like it don't tell me lol. I was a little out of my comfort zone with this one. I don't normally render this much but I love the art in Christmas books So. Much. & wanted to try to recreate that to the best of my ability. I looked at a lot of Jan Brett's art because her art is just quintessential Christmas art to me & probably anyone else that grew up reading her books.
