what exactly drew you to this drama, and what are your fav aspects of it? | I received a similar ask before: asking why I loved it so much and what made me passionate about it— back in 2021 and what I said then still holds true till this day! Going to put here what I wrote but also adding some comments to it since it’s now 2026... 🤧

The main aspect/charm that makes me so passionate about Talio is Mami and Kuroiwa. I just love the way they play off each other, their constant bickering, and trying to top one another but also helping each other in the process. Hamabe Minami who plays Mami said this in an interview: “They are characters that tripping up on each other. Like who manipulates who, there's no such energy in their relationship. They just do each other a favor. They take action. And they persist in doing that. I think it is very fascinating. But really, although they are both lacking, they very much support each other in solving the cases.” And I totally agree! Although they are both lacking they support each other in ways they can. Mami a straight-forward (and chaotic) lawyer who’s fixated on the idea of justice and Kuroiwa a slightly hopeless conman who’s obsessed with money?? Yeah I just love these two dumbs — my chaotic lawyer and conman. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ I loved seeing them solve the cases together, all the shenanigans that occurred during, and the end results. The story revolving around them getting “revenge” for these cases where is the victim the actual victim? Did the perpetrator actually do it? Was interesting to see.

"They help each other, live together, and also bicker with each other. Pretty much things between men and women. Moreover, they compose each other. They do. And both of them are probably silly as well. It's strange. They both have something in common."

The other aspects of this drama that makes me so passionate about it?? Honestly like I said I just love it because I love it... but the consistency! the parallels! the little details! the cinematography! the music! Hamabe Minami and Okada Masaki’s fantastic acting and chemistry! All in all it’s just my personal opinion. Like I don’t get why I love it so much either?? because I haven’t been attached or loved any other drama to this extent before. I lose interest in things easily now a days (aka me dropping dramas all the damn time lmao) but it’s been a whole year and yet i still haven’t shut up about Talio so that’s saying a lot! — (2021)

+ still to this day... there hasn't been a drama that I've been so attached or loved to this extent! and it's been almost six years... like i can't even believe myself 😂

+ here's what I said about Talio back in 2024~!

it’s been three years since it aired and i’m still crying about it 😭 it’s the one drama i never shut up about and think about all the time. it’s my favorite drama of all time like nothing throughout the years has had a hold on me since!! (what i’ve previously said about it~) | the way both leads played off each other and their chemistry was just- a++ the soundtrack for the drama was also such a treat and the vibes matched it so well! the vibes of the whole drama though!! I think it was also shot beautifully. and the consistency (!!! the way they kept things going even the smallest details !!!) throughout was something i really appreciated and looked forward too :’) i really be missing it everyday… </3 | i literally have a talio collection that i finally completed a few months ago 🥹 i have the dvd, cd, vinyl, and the magazine the leads were on the cover of 🫶

also, do you view mami and kuroiwa through a romantic or platonic lens?

Here’s what I said before in a different Talio related ask: also back in 2021~! I’m 100% happy with them just being revenge buddies but like I of course wouldn't mind either way! I feel like my perspective about them has changed quite a bit because at first my brain was like "yes I need them together! why is it always the non-romance dramas that I want the romance to be there the most!!" (especially after this scene in the first episode) 🤪

but after it ending I felt that them just being together (as buddies) and being there for each other is way more important to me than any romance! 🥺

Also still true! but fast-forward to 2026 and I feel like I do view them more through a platonic lens… but but not going to lie… I still also view them through a romantic lens… 🤣 I honestly can’t help it lol. As long if there’s ever a season two I really don’t care either way though ok ok 😭😭😭 If we’re looking into their perspectives though from what they showed… I don’t think they see each other in romantic way at all… 😂 They definitely care about each other and maybe if we ever got to see more of them: like for example with the duos from Keizoku and Spec— it could be something very subtle to confirm if there's something more between them or that they're just revenge buddies who stick with each other through thick and thin!!

I still find that whenever I watch non-romance dramas with pairings that aren’t supposed to be romantic or anything I end up wanting them together way more than actual romance drama pairings though lol. 😔
