Undergarments for my Elizabethan outfit are complete. Outer skirt, bodice, ruff, and hat left to go.
29/3/18
Current project is an Elizabethan gown. I'm making all the undergarments first, starting with the skirt support and then moving onto the bodies (corset) and the petticoat. This is the completed skirt support (bum roll) feat. me goofing off in the workroom.

First ever attempt on an industrial sewing machine for the costume construction course I've just started. My machine is called "The Beast" and I think it's gonna be a challenge to tame him. We did a simple square spiral and a circle spiral to get used to the speed of the machines. They're pretty messy but they'll also be very cool to look back on at the end of next year after two years of full time study using this machine 🎉

Update on direwolf embroidery; I have added beads to the branches to add interest. The second photo is the reference picture I was using. Reference photo credit to

Dress is now complete apart from the embroidery

Main seams sewn. Because it’s made of a stretch velvet the next step will be to line it. The lining will give it a much better structure so it should sit a lot nicer

Beginnings of my Sansa Stark cosplay for Christchurch Armageddon Expo this year. I’m really excited to see how this one will turn out.

Added some runes because DM said it would give me an advantage against certain enemies. I don’t speak any form of dwarvish so I just did my best.

First attempt at making a prop weapon. Not perfect, but also not bad for my first one. Constructed from layers of EVA Foam. Looking back, I would have layered something over the foam to cover the seams where the layers of foam meet. This would cover the seam you can see on the bevelled edge. I might try paper mache over the foam next time.
