heeled  boots  left  prints  in  a  thin  layer  of  mycelium  across  the  tile  as  he  got  up  from  his  not  so  softened  landing.  His  hand  rested  against  Kikoku’s  hilt,  the  weight  of  the  nodachi  grounding  him  in  this  distorted  reality.  Instinct  demanded  vigilance.  golden  irises   narrowed.
