the wild thing about Kevin Can Fuck Himself is that even though the show makes it so very clear, especially at the end, that Kevin is abusive and dangerous, lots of fans (esp on reddit) genuinely believe she was "just as bad" or that she "could have just left" or he "wasnt that bad". you can have a show specifically about how this kind of man is toxic and soul sucking to the people in his life and specifically to his wife and the audience will still find a way to make the woman the evil one.

It’s utterly alien to watch something where there is so clearly a primary aggressor and so clearly a woman exclusively reacting to the abuse, be able to so easily understand it, and then look on the internet and see that that concept is impossible for people to understand. Women who try to leave men like Kevin end up dead. That is the reality. You can literally say in the text, verbatim, “this man is a bad and evil abuser and this woman is his victim and is trying to survive, she is not the bad guy— it is her life or his and it is not selfish for her to choose her own life” and some asshole on the Internet will find some way to build a fence and then sit on it until the end of days.

I cannot believe there's absolutely no way to watch free shows and movies anymore, there are too many paid streaming platforms and pirating websites have viruses and ads preventing you from watching it uninterrupted((.)) id rather follow the rules and purchase media moving forward because it is too inconvenient. Seriously, free and no ads or viruses with 1080p streaming is DEAD.

Exactly! It's freaking annoying when I want to watch movies but I would have to subscribe to like 24 different services . Just to watch the shows that I like.

i like using streaming apps but there are waaaay too many and they're all stealing my data .i wish there was a secure and organized way to have millions of shows and movies available one one app. but alas. we've truly gone full circle back to cable + now it spies on you. its a real shame. i dont want to fill my device storage with tons of boring and stupid cash grabs.

Half of those services don't even work well. Oh you paused a little too long so we're exiting to the place where we can show more ads. I've even had some that made me search for the show every time because it wouldn't save it. It's like, that's the only reason you're sometimes more convenient and you're still fucking it up! But yeah the catalogs are way too spread out.

It really fucking sucks though. I just want to watch movies- without paying some shitty company. I really don't want to subscribe to 700 streaming services for them.

A beloved friend pointed out to me recently that the episodes seem to have a recurring theme of character eyes going in different directions to appear as "wacky", "quirky", or "insane" and it's treated like a big joke when in reality there are people, regular old people, who have eyes that go in different directions or are at different places on their face and it sets this stereotype that people like that are stupid or dumb, which can be harmful, even unintentionally. I don't think gooseworx was doing this on purpose originally, but in this day and age I think more people, including myself, need to be aware that things like strabismus or lazy eyes are normal disorders many people have, and that the alignment of someone's eyes says nothing about their intelligence. I mean come on, we've done all this pushing against nerdy characters with glasses, so I think we can push against insane characters suddenly having misaligned eyes whenever they need to be funny.
