polymiketenna idea
He knew. He knew the whole time. The lies, the disguises, the cover-ups, Tenna knew everything the whole time. But he didn't want to, every time he saw something suspicious, anything that could lead to the fact Mike wasn't who he said he was, Tenna denied it like his life depended on it. That was because, in a way, it did. Everyone was already abandoning him, his mailman, his family... If even Mike left, who's to say everyone else wouldn't leave too? Who's to say anyone liked him at all? What if that was all just a trick too? No... it couldn't be, Tenna knew it couldn't be. Mike was still here! Mike still loved him! Everyone still loved him! Mike was still so sweet and caring and always knew the right thing to say...
But the fantasy couldn't last forever, it had to end eventually. Just like everything else, just like everyone else, it all comes to an end eventually. And once again, Tenna is alone, so, so alone. Except that's not really how it ends. "Mike", who turns out to be three people named Jongler, Pluey, and Battat, still stuck around after everything. Tenna got to learn about them, laugh with them, talk to them without anymore hiding. Jongler was a bit air-headed, but they always tried their best to help and was truly kind at heart. Pluey was just an adorable little kitty cat, filled with so much love that it's like they could explode at any moment with affection. And Battat, while seemingly cold and stubborn, deep down cared about Tenna more than anyone, and was also really cute when he was mad.
After everything, Tenna found that his worse case scenario wasn't really that bad. Sometimes, Tenna wonders what would've happened if he snapped out of his denial earlier, sometimes he regrets not getting to know these wonderful people sooner, all because he didn't want to face the truth. But that doesn't really matter now, does it? He knows them now, and he couldn't be happier.
