Jax is a walking talking stereotype.
hypersexualized (the maid outfit. Like, this thing isn't just Goose's private kink, noooo. It shows up in the show multiple times and Glitch makes a lotta cash out of Jax's discomfort)
hyperfeminine (fans usually draw her that way thanks to the bow scene + "Isn't She Lovely?" I don't blame them for portraying Jax as this girly girl because Gooseworx seems to view her that way too. Yeah, and we also have Jax's "canon" transfem look)
violent, abusive and dangerous towards cis women (Gangle and Ragatha, I'm looking at you. But we also have Zooble and Ribbit, a non-binary person and a demigirl. Jax treated Pomni like shit too. She even insulted Kinger back in the pilot and bullied Kaufmo, but we see Jax mostly targeting female or female-presenting characters)
her womanhood is mostly portrayed through stereotypically "feminine" things and colors (specifically, Jax having a purple + pinkish-red color scheme, the bow, the maid dress, her "girly" room, the PINK hue at the end of Jax's life when she "comes out" thanks to "Isn't She Lovely?" contrasted with the night sky being BLUE back in ep 5 when she said how her ears and tail are a pinnacle of masculinity)
has no redeeming qualities (no, seriously. I can't name a single kind, heroic or selfless thing Jax has done. Even Goose called her irredeemable. Honestly, I don't think that only has to do with Jax not wanting to put in the effort to become a better person or at least apologize ONCE, but also with her genuinely having 0 positive personality traits. It's sad. Jax sexually assaulted Gangle in her mind and blackmailed her in the circus more than one. She had keys to everyone's room and gave them no privacy, she figured out Gangle's kinks and private stuff and decided to use that against her. Her behavior drove Ribbit to suicide and she kept mistreating people severely even after finding out about what abstraction is. EVERY TIME, it's her feeling safe and in control > her being a decent person. Jax also contributed to Kaufmo's abstraction. Jax is violent, sarcastic in a cruel way, a bully, a person who physically, verbally and mentally abused others, someome who was not only transphobic towards Zooble both in the circus and inside her mind, but has also made fun of him for not being straight and being associated with "queer and gay" things, aka being a bartender and tattoo artist, and someone who was canonically misogynistic both inside and outside the show... you get the idea. Jax never approaches Gangle and tries to make up for the things she's done. She'd rather abstract than live with herself. She's selfish, has extremely low empathy, and we don't even see her do anything nice to anyone. The closest thing to Jax doing a kind deed is when she told Ribbit "I'm glad that I could cheer you up," but: 1) we don't even know how she did it 2) it happened off-screen and 3) based on her and Ribbit's interactions, what I assume happened was that Jax was simply being chaotic that day, so yeah, no sacrifices were made. As long as Jax is in control, it's all good)
we don't know much about jax's human counterpart (All we know is that Leeroy rented an apartment with a friend, got a stable job, pays rent, hangs out with her friends and goes to Riley's queer bar with them. Just because she saluted at her mom (?) while wearing a mailman outfit and has friends doesn't guarantee Leeroy's a good person. And even if she was, she wasn't the one we've been following all this time. Jax is. And Jax is dead. We've also got the "Bury Your Gays" trope here! Woohoo! Not only that, but Lee still boymodes and hasn't transitioned in any way! We don't even see a trans flag on her Instagram profile! And everyone else got a sickly sweet, perfect ending! Everyone except the trans girl who still isn't out of the closet! And when that trans girl's circus counterpart died, the colors were immediately shown to have come back! I'm not denying it's because Caine returned, but the implication is still there, y'know. And THEN! Then, Jax's "living corpse"/corrupted file was put inside a tent doghouse instead of giving it a proper burial, or deleting it and the other abstractions permanently. The suicidal trans character committed suicide during Pride Month, nobody learned anything from her death and, the way things were framed, moved on quickly. No funeral or a proper goodbye scene between the gang and Jax's corpse. Things... things indeed got better as soon as the problematic person was gone, huh. If Jax was still around, y'all wouldn't be able to have your perfect therapy talk ending. Also it feels like Jax's abstraction was given special treatment compared to other abstractions, not to mention that pic of abstracted Jax and Pomni that Glitch posted. Heck no, Jax was a horrible person, show us Kinger and abstracted Queenie instead please. I also don't believe that Pomni would just let Jax walk away after she saw her try to reach out to her. She told Jax "Be here later" and Zooble told her "Hey. That includes you, too. Listen, we're not gonna have you wandering off alone somewhere and abstracting, or something. You're a pain in the ass, but... you're still one of us." Whatever happened to that. It's been days ever since the brain scan reveal guys, y'all had the time to process the shock from that revelation. The only conclusion I can come to is that Jax's safety wasn’t your priority. And Jax... was suicidal. Pomni knew. But walked away from her anyway)
