Prince William opening homes committed to by the duchy of cornwall as a step towards easing housing pressures on the Isles of Scilly. These sustainable houses, the first built on the island for 20 years, support the future of island life, available to those who have lived on Scilly for more than five years or who currently work there.

Princess Royal has been in Greece, commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Sir Tim Laurence attended services to commemorate Commonwealth, Allied and Greek personnel who gave their lives in defensive action during the Battle. Her Royal Highness and Sir Tim met relatives of those who fought in the 1941 battle, watched fly pasts from the Red Arrows and watched a traditional Cretan flag parade in commemoration of the Battle.

The Princess also visited Athens where she met the President of the Hellenic Republic and attended events in her role as President of the Mission to Seafarers.

H.M. the King welcomed four new ambassadors to Sweden.

During the audience, the ambassadors handed over their letters of credit to the King and they therefore now have the full right to represent their respective home countries in Sweden.

The ambassadors who were received in solemn audiences were:

- Kim Chol Hae from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea

- Swahiba Habib Mndeme from United Republic of Tanzania

- Francisco Neto Antonio Novela from the Republic of Mozambique

- Thandazile Penelope Mbuyisa from Kingdom of Eswatini - based in London

Ambassadors from these countries were present: Croatia, Denmark, Iraq, South Africa, Italy, Iceland, Finland, Lithuania, France, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand, and EU ambassador to Norway.

At Hillsborough Castle, The First Minister and deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland were received by Their Majesties and afterwards had audiences with The King.

King Charles III visited W5 LIFE in Belfast to meet young people gaining the skills and confidence to shape their futures.

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia were welcomed to the Republic of Lithuania. President Gitanas Nauséda and Mrs. Diana Nausédiene hosted The King and Queen during their official visit.

The program included a meeting with young scouts, a visit to a Ukrainian center, the Lithuanian border guard, and the inauguration of a nursing home. The day ended with a reception at the Grand Dukes' Palace

King Harald attended the presentation of the prestigious King Olav V's cancer research prize.

The researchers Johanna Olweus and Karl-Johan Malmberg received the award at a solemn event in the University auditorium.

The award recipients for 2025 and 2026 were both honoured at this year's ceremony - Malmberg for their significant contributions to cell therapy and Olweus for their pioneering work to make cell therapy relevant to more cancer patients.

Two talented Australian exchange students affiliated with the University of Copenhagen are rewarded each year with "The Queen Mary Scholarship", This year Her Majesty the Queen awarded the scholarship to Saffron Dewsnap from Deakin University and Charlotte Ines Ostrowski from the University of Melbourne. The awarding was motivated in a speech by the Queen at a ceremony at Copenhagen University.

During the selection, emphasis is placed on the students' professional commitment, their motivation for choosing the University of Copenhagen as a host institution as well as their interest in being a part of an international study- and research environment. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize and support students who are actively seeking professional and cultural development during their stay in Denmark. Each of the scholarship recipients receives a scholarship of 15,000 kroner for their study at the University of Copenhagen.

Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Motorsport, gave the starting signal today, for the Jordan Rally - the third round of the Middle East Rally Championship - from the "Hover-Up Park" circuit in the Dead Sea.
