I mean they were together, they both took the pods, the same rubble fell on both of them and his own pod malfunctioned. So. What if hers did too? Is she around? Is there a chance hes not alone?

But she nowhere to be seen. She isnt here. Shes not anywhere he looked so...That means she made it? She escaped? She must have! Its nice to think she did...

....But what if she didnt? He doesnt know. He has no idea. For all he knows her pod could have gotten damaged so badly that she died in the calamity. But shes a tough girl! She wouldnt die so easily. That wouldnt happen!

But what if it did?

For all he knows she could be at the bottom of the ocean right now. He doesnt know. He has no idea.

He might have looked in the book of prophecies for answers and maybe it did give him the clarity he was hoping for. But maybe it didnt. Maybe her fate wasnt in it. Maybe he still doesnt have ceirtanty that shes alive and well years later. She probably is. Its skuld! Shes going to be okay on her own. He knows that! But theres still this horrifying "What if" in the back of his mind

And even if the book did give him answers
