HERES MY 1000000% WRONG BRAINROT THEORY ABOUT THIS GUY BUT I NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT
I know we've been saying this is Sigurd but like,,, what if this isnt? I keep thinking, they showed us Luxord, Strelitzia, Vali and Xehanort, and they're all characters we know the face of. I know we've seen Sigurd before with the hood and the jacket pretty much almost lines up with his design, but that could also maybe be the uniform of his society?
This might be the KHML brainrot talking but what if this is Brain, and he's simply wearing the same uniform because he is/was in the same society as Sigurd in the end?
(Under the cut as to why I think this is a possibility)
1) the eyes
Notably, on a first glance he looked like he had brown eyes, but its actually central hecterochromia. The centre is gold/brown but the rest of his iris is grey. And guess who has grey eyes?
(His eyes might be a kinda grey-purple colour but that could be down to stylisation but also note, Eraqus does have grey eyes although more blue toned than Brain's) BUT- thinking back to the central hecterochromia, we dont know what happened to Brain during KHML, so maybe something occurred for this to happen?
2) The flow of his hairstyle
The flow of his hairstyle is very similar, if not the same to Brainâs (I did also refer to who is possibly Luxu at the end of UX to get a better look at Brainâs hair, also ignore how messily I threw the images into the canvas)
You may be thinking, hey doesn't KH4 have more wavy hair compared to Brain? Which yes, true, but this is something else that could be drawn down to either stylisation or maybe just Brain's hairstyle has slightly changed over time as its been grown + cut.
3) Facial features
They're eyebrows, noses and mouths look exactly the same plus its funny how we see this guy of all people with a breif smile when we've seen Brain on 2 occasions with the same smile.
4) IDK IM GOING INSANE IM PRETTY CONVINCED THIS IS MY BOY
i LOVE the diversity of fanart going on with the xehanort umbrella scene. is xehanort offering sora comfort? is he mocking? righteous? uneasy? well-intentioned or not?
there is SO MUCH that could be going on here and i love seeing people explore the different possibilities

the reason khâs cast is so large and bloated is because tetsuya nomura is first and foremost a character designer and new character means new cool picture to draw thank you and good night
I really do appreciate kingdom heartâs commitment to using old cutscenes in flashbacks. Even if the graphics have since gone through a massive change like in kh3. You want an Aqua memory? Letâs go experience the PSP together again then. More games should do this, it gets funnier the older the series is. Can you imagine a Zelda game that chronologically happens after Zelda 1 and Link has a flashback to his 8-bit self
Maybe kh4 will prove me wrong but I can NOT see Ava in the "Amnesiastic girl that was experimented on by Xehanort" role in the slightest. I dont know why. I just cant see her in that role. I could see her in the role of activly working against the MoM or being some kind of ally that helps us/guides us but barely interacts with us or something else entirely, but i just cant see her losing her memories
Like honestly i can see this with skuld. I feel like with skuld this makes sense but it just. It doesnt feel like it makes sense for Ava. She had a plan, She was defying the master, There was SOMETHING she tried to do. How js she supposed to continue that arc if she just suddenly lost all her memories of that. Thats not a role i can ever see her in. I LOVE ava but thats not the role i want her to take. It doesnt feel like a role that FITS her yk?
Also, sorry if Iâm veering into post hijack territory but Iâm so gung ho about Skuld being Subject X because if she WAS a part of Scalaâs founding with Ephemer, or if she was related to Xehanort, she was completely erased from that history and from acknowledgement as Xehanortâs ancestor. And for what? The sake of a big reveal? I would be pretty miffed about it bc I feel like Skuld has plenty of âbig revealâ potential as Subject X, and sheâs better off having a role in KHâs future rather than itâs history.
For Ephemer, this makes sense, thatâs his name. thatâs his whole thing. short lived. But Skuld has some unfinished business youâll all see.
YES EXACTLY!!! If she at least got a STATUE. If she was at least ACKNOWLEDGED by the fucking PLAYER. Then i could MAYBE accept it. Maybe. Its not even like her being related to xehanort is a big reveal this shit was revealed in a fucking INTERVIEW. YOU DONT DROP YOUR REVEAL IN A FUCKING INTERVIEW. And honestly. Her staying behind with ephemer is wayyy too underwhelming of an reveal to make for a character you have essentially kept hidden for years.
She wasnt in the fucking UX epiloge for a reason. you cannot tell me she just stayed behind with ephemer thats nonsense. Everything points to her. Literally everything. Ive made a long post with everything. It fits thematically, Its fits with what we know about her, It fits with EVERYTHING
She doesnt belong into the past shes named after a goddess of FUTURE for a reason
Honestly I have joined the "Hood girl is ava" train but in that case i dont think hood girl is subject X. Also im still half expecting them to give Skuld and Ava the same VA and similar mannerism because they are supposed to be similar. After Roxas and ven im trusting them to do literally ANYTHING
