Conclusion Post
I don’t think my taste of inspiration has changed much over the year. I am very much interested in a sort of grungy style, but I also enjoy a lot of feminine elements such as florals and playful colours. I like quite heavy pieces with lots of different elements, but I also like a couple of more simple pieces too, such as the Razorlight CD sleeve. I like when a person is connected to their art and the things they make rather than them just being aesthetically pleasing. I’m quite interested in abstraction through the use of texture and piling things on. I also realised that a lot of the things I’m interested in or inspired by or influenced by music which, as a music lover myself, I think having that secondary meaning to a piece of art really adds to the depth and lets me enjoy it more. I like when people create things using nonconventional methods, for example, the William Loveless painting is made from glue which people most likely don’t realise until you do at least a little research into his work. I really like collages and hope to work more with them in the future through the inspiration from pieces such as in this blog. Overall, I think this blog has made me realise how much I love texture and being hands on with art and graphic design, hopefully I will lean more into that in the future.
