Routing Issues

i’ve made a batch file that can be run through task scheduler to automatically back up your sims 4 saves and tray folders.

the first thing you need to do is change the path to match yours. it should be the same for everyone (C:\Users\NAME\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\). right click on the batch file and select edit. change the highlighted NAME part to whatever your computer name is. you have to do this, or it won’t work.

i have it set to backup to the desktop, but that can be changed easily. just replace that part with the path of your desired backup location.

image 1: from the start menu, search for task scheduler and launch it.

image 2: create a basic task, name it whatever but make sure it’s a name you’ll recognize.

image 3: pick when you want it to run. if you play a lot, daily might be good.

image 4: you can make it every other day, every 3 days, whatever.

image 5: select start a program.

image 6: navigate to the batch file and select it.

image 7: finish!

image 8: select task scheduler library and look for your task. right click > run to test it out.

image 9: you should see command prompt pop up if you did everything right. and that’s it!
