i am absolutely just being a hater but seeing peoples only reaction to the newsletter being "OMG KNIGHT REVEAL!1!1!!1!1" is so funny can yall think about literally any other part of this story 😭😭😭

part of me kinda thinks we might never get an official knight reveal and tbh i would really enjoy that. i think like toby also said in the newsletter it's really endearing to watch people have their own thoughts about what's going to happen but the specific obsession with the knight and setting all these preconceived expectations is really interesting bc there is legit no telling what's gonna happen next. and it makes me feel like in a way the knight represents what is just beyond the players' reach and what we will never fully know, whether that was planned to be the case or not

I think the funniest thing Toby Fox could do is not have Papyrus show up in Deltarune at all and then in the post credits after you you beat the game you'd see a message appear that says "you can now play with Papyrus" and then he'd be retroactively inserted into every single chapter like some kind of new game+
