Honestly though given the number of traditional 2spirit identities to the tune of "like if a woman was a man" the hostility towards the idea of transmasc lesbianism lately has got to be symptomatic of tumblr being white as hell. Like ok YOU can conceive of your gendersexuality how you want but I'm a genre of person who has existed since the dawn of time & imposing the latest white western framework on me feels ... colonizey. Even when it's #TransPositive

& the most annoying thing of all is that I like get that there are binary as hell trans men who are weird about gay women's sexual boundaries but that's kind of a separate issue innit ? I don't thuink "if you're too masculine you're not a lesbian anymore you're a predatory manthing because I wouldn't personally have sex with you" is the solution

And like obviously there's criticism to be made of the bioessentialist undertones of the way a lot of cisbians "include" transmasc dykes, up to binary ~ftm~ types, but when this veers into "we should exclude butches with complicated genders, actually, because they're not Woman:tm: enough" that's what I take a fucking issue with. Sometimes people are nonbinary

One weird experience of transitioning is failing at ur assigned gender role the whole time and everyone constantly deriding you for it but then u come out and it's like we lost a beautiful gender conforming warrior today. Must grieve for my wonderful child who pissed me off by being ugly and weird since day 1

some youtuber released a new guide to how to "easily defeat" me with a "100% success rate" and now all the heroes are showing up with a glitched 120% immunity to corruption magic and it's so fucked up and mean to me.

nevermind the devs patched the exploit they were using but the video wasn't taken down so I'm basically just farming heroes that are totally convinced they're immune to all of my effects. plus they're getting hit by all the easiest to dodge ones, too. you get poofed into my loyalest maid and you get to think you've always been a helpless princess and you become my new evil knight through a really cool sequence. this is so awesome.

In every way this is set up to be a joke like any other short video, it even uses the trope of main character in a wig to represent their mom, but it isn't funny at all. It's just sweet and nice

i know it's been said on here and said again but people do so desperately need to genuinely do intentional work to build distress tolerance and start figuring out how to recognize the differences between danger, discomfort, and when a situation that is merely uncomfortable is triggering an emotional flashback in your bodies because it resembles a past situation that actually was dangerous which makes it difficult to realize/believe that this moment is merely uncomfortable.

the thing that drives me crazy about transmasc invisibility as a topic is that i DO think it's a problem, but i think the term gets misused a lot and i also think a lot of trans guys come to some pretty batshit conclusions on how trans women are treated

i think maybe we can talk about how we are routinely erased from conversations about reproductive care, abortion, gynecology, etc and then treated like we're annoying when we ask to be included without insinuating that trans women somehow benefit from it.
