LEO 🌞 [today - 8/21] || is the birthplace of the self, the manifestation of consciousness expressed. Ruled by the H•E•A•R•T which represents the center for which all energy flows and where the soul and consciousness is felt. TRANSITS // meaning in transition–both within you and the world around you is shifting. Can you feel it? A BLUE MOON vs. a PINK MOoN. Everyone is always asking me about the colors of the moon and their significance. So while this one is being referred to as a "#Pink #StrawberryMoon" here is the gist: The official Pink Full Moon occurs in April because of Spring, it's also called an Egg Moon, signifying birth and renewal, it's not actually Pink. This #FullMoon is referred to as a Strawberry or #Rose #Moon because of it's proximity to Earth–it should appear to have a warm glow (but is still not pink)–Strawberry because it's the fruit associated with summer and signifies ripe and fruitful. Rose because of it's warmish glow. For a list of the Moon's names throughout the year, and for your reference here's the link from 'The Old Farmer's Almanac" http://www.almanac.com/content/full-moon-names. This Full Moon is actually a rare occurrence and is considered in astrology to be a #BlueMoon–which means that last month's Full moon was in the sign #Sagittarius and so is today's. The chance of two Full Moon's being in the same sign back-to-back is rare, thus the term "once in a blue moon." #onceimabluemoon#astrology

SAGITTARIUS FULL MOON lands on SUMMER SOLSTICE || Once in a Blue Moon, not pink–is one of perspective. This is a pivotal breakthrough kind of moment. In order to stay on course, you'll need to follow your #heart and embrace integrity. This Moon is essentially at the 11th hour–29th degree–meaning endings through expansion. The Moon in the sign Sagittarius and #Sun in the sign Gemini which is an axis having to do with fact + fiction. Gemini is the sign of duality, possibility, and mental curiosity, but also white lies (its shadow side). Sagittarius rules under the domain of #truth and #integrity (on a good day) even extremism (on a bad day). Gemini says, I read this, spoke to this person, talked about this and that and so–I think. Sagittarius says, I know because I've experienced it, I've explored that topic and this is my belief. The axis of these two #mutablesigns (mutable–meaning adaptable and changeable) are one of intellect. This Full Moon heavily communes with another influential mutable sign, Pisces and the planets Saturn (discipline, structure, sobriety, and time), Neptune (illusion, fantasy, and trust), Mercury (thought, ideas, transition, and communication), and asteroid Chiron (My favorite ;) kidding but it's been involved in healing and relationships a lot lately–more to come on Chiron and it's meaning). OK FINE, BUT WHAT HOW WILL IT AFFECT ME? Our shadow side and those of other's are showing up big time–dealing with things head on and with integrity will lead you to self-mastery. If you find that you're feeling more confused, sideswiped and discombobulated, hang tight–it will pass. Go inward and focus on self-advocacy. Illusions are slowly fading away and if we've been living in disintegrated realms, integration can surely feel disorientating. Striving for balance is always the lay of the land in astrology–the planets conspire to support us through growth, for our highest good. SUMMER SOLSTICE || 6.20.16. Equates more ~SUN~ and the longest day of the year, because the Earth's northern hemisphere, like a growing plant tilts toward the #Sun.
