Karl hardly flinched as Ethan reached for his collar, even letting the man pull him closer. He couldn’t help the slight grin that tugged at his mouth, pleased with Ethan’s reaction. That just confirmed how much Ethan would be willing to cooperate if meeting with Rose went as the iron mutant hoped. He was confident to say the least.
“That’s the spirit!” The elder man laughed and grabbed Ethan’s hand, yanking it off his collar only to then pull Ethan closer. He began to lead the father down the dim metal halls, loose enough to let him pull away easily enough if he tried.
“Don’t you worry, Winters. I do believe I’ve done the best I can raisin’ your kid. She’s a feisty one, a lot like you!” After traveling down a few halls, climbing up a couple flights of stairs, the prison-like surroundings of the factory began to slowly change into something a bit more... homey. Still decorated with the same industrial style, but clearly there had been some effort put into making this area more comfortable.
“‘Ey! Rose! Got a surprise for you!” Heisenberg called as they approached a door, not even hesitating as he pushed it open, then turns to Ethan and bows, gesturing for him to enter the room.
Through the door was what looked like a sort of apartment. A living room area in one corner with a small TV and leather couch, a decent sized kitchen in another corner, and a loft bedroom above them both. Not to mention a large circle window in the middle of one of the otherwise empty walls. The room had various tools, trinkets, clothes and books scattered all around, much like any normal teenager’s living space.
“Karl, I swear to god, if this is one your stupid pranks...” A voice called out from the loft area before a teenage girl appeared on the metal spiral stairs, coming to greet the lord and his ‘surprise’.
“Oh...” Rose froze the moment she locked eyes with Ethan. She wasn’t used to guests. In fact, Karl had been very strict about letting outsiders around their home, so she was understandably a bit confused and suspicious at this stranger. “Well... this is a surprise. Hello?”
Karl entered the room looking pleased as punch, putting his hands together in front of himself and grinning between the two of them. This was turning into a pretty interesting day!
