I love them so much they make me Violently Ill

I've been consuming fanart and fanfic of them daily i can't stop thinking about them no matter what I do they're just so cute

I mean, if you told me that ch5 was going to have a gay, suicidal cowboy dating a ballerina butterfly man in feudal Japan, I wouldn't believe you, but I would hope with all my heart that you were right

Man I love drawing them with little to no detail

I'm glad I'm actually creating finished art pieces instead of starting them and dropping them halfway through because I got distracted by a different totally unrelated idea

Blue definitely doesn't look like Blue, mostly bc of the face and hair so don't pay attention to that. I'll do better when I draw him next.

While I didn't know who my favorite was, I think my subconscious chose for me with how much more detail I gave Yellow compared to the others <:]

Also I can't get over the fact that Joel's pin is like half the size of the rest of them

A couple parts could be tweaked to make it better, but for 2 1/2 hours and my first time painting realism (digital or not) its pretty good

The two pieces to make the halo and the actual halo

I was going to make it connect to his head kinda like the Cybermen from Doctor Who, but I didn't like how it looked

I also wanted to make the halo on the biggest drawing the sun like on the mini drawings to the side, but I felt like it might not be read as a halo considering the background I drew for that one. It was probably fine but oh well

Was gonna post this earlier but I finished it at like 1 am, and I wanted to wait until morning so I could see if I missed anything

Also, if anyone has any ideas for his boss fight attacks, please share! I want to make some concept art of what my Spamton EX fight would look like, but I'm all out of ideas rn

The fic is 'How can I rise when I was destined to fall?' by @invisiblechild01, and thank you to the author for writing this, it's such a fun read and I'm so excited for the next arc!

The thing I always had trouble with on this drawing was the composition and facial expressions, so I just scrapped the original sketches and started completely over, and that helped a lot! I also decided to just not draw the faces bc that was still giving me trouble. I then decided to give it a symbolic meaning since the expression was described as completely blank, so leaving the face eerily blank pushes that description farther. I'm also drawing on a new platform with a new tablet, and I'm still getting used to both, so the drawing could be better. But I'm happy with it so that doesn't matter.

I put a lot of care into the freckles and hair just for them to be barely visible with how dark it is, so the second image doesn't have any lighting.
