forever thinking about how the witches in the originals prophesied hope mikaelson would be their downfall and the majority of the supernatural world was expecting her to turn out to be this big evil but then josie had lines like "hope is strong and she's good" and "she is the best of us". she genuinely believed hope was fully and wholly good and never gave up on her, even when it would have been easy to.
not only that but hope and josie's arcs are reflections of each other. josie gave in to her worst fears (that she would become evil if she fought for herself in the merge) and let that become her reality. on the other hand, hope was afraid of not being 'good' and 'worthy' of her family's sacrifice, so when she hit rock bottom she let herself fulfill that in a sense and become what she perceived was exactly like her father's evil side.
josie killed alyssa, making her "irredeemable", and everyone wanted to give up on her. hope hospitalized alaric and killed lizzie, making her irredeemable in a similar way, and even before that people were ready to give up on her and let her go.
but hope refused to give up on josie and told her that her worst fears didn't have to be real and that there was a part of her that was still good; the 'real' josie (to hope). and josie saw that hope didn't let everyone's expectations (or even her own) define her. she still fought to help people. so hope helped josie pull herself out of it, never giving up on her.
and then when hope lost her way, josie did the exact same for her and reminded her of what she'd taught josie š like i'm just never going to be okay about them. it also really gets me that hope's opening and closing lines in the show are about what makes supernaturals villains (or not). makes it feel like hosie's arc was the most central part in telling and showing that story
