A couple thoughts on the new MLP generation.
First of all, I think from the little bit that was shown, it looks like it has a lot of potential. The new cast looks like they are having a lot of fun which is great to see. Yeah, it sucks that Rarity and Applejack donβt seem to be in it (at least for now), but I donβt think thatβs enough reason to write the whole thing off before itβs even started.
That said, I am really disappointed that itβs a YouTube series with 9 minute episodes. If the show is gonna be aimed at an even younger audience than G4 like I feel it is, I think this is kind of the opposite direction Iβd want to see things go. Kids attention spans are already getting pulled in a million directions by short form content and such. Iβd much rather see a show that gives its characters and stories room to breathe.
