A couple thoughts on the new MLP generation.
First of all, I think from the little bit that was shown, it looks like it has a lot of potential. The new cast looks like they are having a lot of fun which is great to see. Yeah, it sucks that Rarity and Applejack don’t seem to be in it (at least for now), but I don’t think that’s enough reason to write the whole thing off before it’s even started.
That said, I am really disappointed that it’s a YouTube series with 9 minute episodes. If the show is gonna be aimed at an even younger audience than G4 like I feel it is, I think this is kind of the opposite direction I’d want to see things go. Kids attention spans are already getting pulled in a million directions by short form content and such. I’d much rather see a show that gives its characters and stories room to breathe.

I really like Twilight x Sunset! Maybe not as much as I used to, but I've always found it very romantic that they both have similar names and similar ambitions. The bad thing about this ship for me was the fact that Sunset never ended up moving to Equestria and the existence of Sci-Twi makes things more confusing.
But, fun fact: this couple was my first interaction with lesbianism in general and I was like, "girls can kiss other girls, cool."
