She would be like Brooklyn. Probably be leader of a group of Newsies. AND THEY WOULD ALL SING Some people would be afraid of her like they are of Spot, but she has the best interest of her Newsies at heart and she will fight for them. Also she would be able to do the cartwheels and flips and stuff! Yolonda would also be very like Spot Conlon! Toughest Newsies! Huckleberry my sweet boy is a Newsie. He'd be selling papes with Jack and Crutchie, Davey and les. Medda and Dana? Besties. They would look out for all of the Newsies. Those kids would be safe with them. Mckay would look out for all the kids too. Victoria would be friends with Katherine! Katherine is a writer and Dr J would be fighting justice in her own way! (writing or in todays world, making tiktoks) She would also get along with Davey. Davey and Mel would get along and I think they would read books and be kind of awkward nerds together (I say this with love) Jack Abbott and Crutchie have something in common of course but Jack would definately take Crutchie under his wing. Ogilvie would be a SCAB. Dr. Robby would be a legend among the Newsies! He would be trying to watch out and look after them all but also crash out like Jack does during Santa fe. He really would feel guilt and responsible for the kids. He would talk to them as he talks to baby Jane Doe. Hope everything will be okay. And remind them there is so much ahead of them. OKAY! (First off I'll say, I am deaf and that is what really made me decide that Crutchie is deaf too. I have a hearing aid and am almost completely deaf on my left side and have other disabilites too) Jack tells Crutchie when the morning bell rings ( "Mornin' bell ain't rang yet, go back to sleep!" ) Crutchie doesn't always hear when people approach and that's why he is caught during the strike; he doesn't hear the Delancey brothers. In the refuge he is making a lot of noise as he writes (sings) his letter from the refuge. He doesn't realise when he is being loud. Crutchie struggles with the volume of his voice. He doesn't know sign language (as we know it today) but he and the Newsies have signs that they use. Crutchie is deaf in one ear - perhaps from an accident or an illness. Related to why he uses his crutch too. It's all connected. Jack always stands on Crutchie's hearing side so he can always hear him. A lot of people don't know that Crutchie is deaf (Especially in 1899, when it is very dangerous for him being a disabled kid on the streets) Race knows and sometimes will surprise yell in Crutchie's deaf ear just to see if he can hear (he can't) they laugh about this. In Modern Day Crutchie has a hearing aid and he decorates them with little stickers (omg he's just like me) He has looked into surgery for a cochlea implant but decided against it. Wants to learn sign language.
