However… one of their dingbat guests had packed their car in the driveway of the home. I had parked with their driveway now behind me, but I was not obscuring it and had room to reverse as the person in front of me in their infinite wisdom gave me no space to drive or manipulate the car forward without reversing. Now again, normally no problem, and it’s also not my business about my neighbours and their guests.

And low and behold 🫩 - this fool parked in the driveway had his entire ute/hilux tray and back of the car hanging out the driveway over the footpath and half-backed onto the street behind my car… drastically reducing my reversing space. This person could see I was parked in from the front, and was already (illegally) obscuring the road and the footpath… and I’m thinking why didn’t he drive into the damn driveway…there was no one in front of him in the driveway and it’s a flat driveway…I turn around and see that he and this other person are watching me from the veranda of the house.

I look over and very visibly go “okay, well, like move the car forward so I can safely reverse” - neither person moves… they just sort of vacantly watch…I am then forced to bunny-hop reverse…in a manual… using the reflection of my lights to gauge how far I can go back… while the owner of the car just watches me and is of no help…
