How do any of you original fiction writers handle it

I tried to reach out in a new friend group and talk about my book project, excitedly, and explained some things

will I be consistent? I don't know. Social media is hard and at least bluesky has an app. that's what's kept me on tumblr for so long.

I'm not leaving though! just shifting some content there :)

Merry is a sheep/goat thing, namely because they were too concerned with blending into the crowd as a human. They're in a jester-like uniform because they're such a sadsack.

Because they were afraid of being misunderstood or not heard at all, they are permanently muzzled -- to the point that they can't open their mouth, so they drink or eat through a straw through the vents.

It's particularly gross because they're either in a contract with or under some observation by Rosie in the Cannibal District, so all Merry gets are blood smoothies.

They fled to the Cannibal district specifically because it seemed the safest and they're scared. They're some kind of comic relief and/or secretary for Rosie. Or maybe an errand sheep. Who knows.
