Dee: Oh come on. You’ve never loved anything in this world apart from yourself.

Mac: That is not true! Dennis loves me with the fury of a thousand suns.

Think about the nights after they watch a movie when Dennis is exhausted and heads to bed and Mac stays up for an extra 30 minutes washing the popcorn bowl and spraying down the coffee table to get rid of the sticky rings their beers left- he’s always trying to get Dennis to use a coaster but he never listens. He folds the blankets so things look nice when they wake up in the morning with a light hangover.

He takes mental notes when Dennis finishes off the roll of paper towels or the last of the potato chips because Dennis will be incensed if he reaches for them and they aren’t there. When he knows Dennis is going to be out of the house for the day, he puts his Creed tape in the boombox and scrubs the bathtub to get rid of the residue Dennis’ bubbles and epsom salts leave behind. He wipes the sinks down because Dennis is always getting powder everywhere. He flips their towels, always making sure to put the fluffier one on Dennis’ hook.
