thinking about how dee was emotionally abused by both her parents growing up and how she couldn’t even escape at school because she was ruthlessly bullied by her peers and how in college she wanted to be just like her roommate and ended up forcibly institutionalized because she set her on fire and how her only friends constantly berate and exclude her and how all she’s ever had is hope and how that hope is running out as she gets older and how she’s cripplingly lonely and tried on wedding dresses every week for a year and how she’s never had a fulfilling relationship but constantly seeks male validation and how she lies to her therapist for the praise she so desperately craves but never receives and how she forces herself to do standup in the hopes of making her dreams come true and how she’s canonically attempted suicide and just how she’s completely and totally isolated in her sadness, in all of this, and how she has too much pride to ever let someone help her so this is the life she’ll always have
