Diaries: Chrysalis - a Minecraft Diaries AU
New writing project incoming...
To celebrate the (now belated because I'm a serial procrastinator) 10th anniversary of Mystreet, I wrote out the first chapter of my upcoming MCD AU fanfic, which took me so much longer than I thought it would because it's been so long since I've written anything more than a drabble so I spent far too much time editing parts of it until it sounded right to me. Major thanks to Jess for being one of my favourite creators ever and coming up with all her wacky and wonderul stories, rediscovering them after over 5 years has been so much fun. She was so important to me when I was younger and she's still clearly having a big impact on my life if I'm still so obssessed with these block characters.
Anyway, here it is! This is just an introductory chapter, with so much more to come eventually that I can't wait to write.
Summary:
Aphmau is an ordinary person thrust into a not-so-ordinary predicament. After downloading what she thought was a regular RPG, she finds herself trapped in an unfamiliar world which strangely resembles the description of that very same game. No matter how much she tries to get answers from the villagers she found herself amongst, they only repeat the same nonsense about needing her help. With no way out, she wonders if the only way to escape this place is to finish the game. But the longer she stays in this world, the more real everything and everyone seems to become. As she unravels the mysteries of this new world, she is forced to grapple with events set in motion long before she ever opened up this video game.
