oh oh OH. the quiet looks of reserved indignation between natalie and milchick. the mutual understanding of racism, as Lumon's two Black employees, conveyed so subtly and realistically in a few glances. This place is not for them. It will never be for them. the highest honour they as Black Lumon employees can reach is their Black faces photoshopped onto a white man's story. Even the reward for their hard work is a crass false representation that only serves to underscore a white man's power, and remind them they exist to serve that power. Hats off to Sydney Cole Alexander and Tramell Tillman for such fantastic, subtle and moving work in this episode and perfectly portraying the downlow solidarity between Black people and people of colour in predominantly white workplaces.

I love queer movies where the protagonist realizes that his ex-girlfriend is better off with someone else, and that he actually finds his soulmate in his mutant best friend (+their love language is killing each other)

Been wanting to draw more Animal Restaurant customers! Look at how cute they are 😭
Also, I’ve decided that the dog (described as “A cool doggo turned gentle thanks to a kitty's company”) has PTSD, and has been getting better since meeting their new emotional support kitten 💕

"Do you ever dream of land?" The whale asks the tuna.
"No." Says the tuna, "Do you?"
"I have never seen it." Says the whale, "but deep in my body, I remember it."
"Why do you care," says the tuna, "if you will never see it."
"There are bones in my body built to walk through the forests and the mountains." Says the whale.
"They will disappear." Says the tuna, "one day, your body will forget the forests and the mountains."
"Maybe I don't want to forget," Says the whale, "The forests were once my home."
"I have seen the forests." Whispers the salmon, almost to itself.
"Tell me what you have seen," says the whale.
"The forests spawned me." Says the salmon. "They sent me to the ocean to grow. When I am fat with the bounty of the ocean, I will bring it home."
"Why would the forests seek the bounty of the oceans?" Asks the whale. "They have bounty of their own."
"You forget," says the salmon, "That the oceans were once their home."
“The first time Claude Rains’ daughter ever saw her father in a movie was in 1950, when he took her to a showing of ’The Invisible Man’ in a small Pennsylvanian theater. While the film was playing, Rains was telling his daughter all about how it was made. The other theater patrons stopped watching the movie and instead listened to Rains’ anecdotes.”
