The Greatest Irony

should be

planted

everywhere else,

so people could

always see it

when hate

started to

spread.

You are risking it all on someone else, you must first protect yourself before you go.

You never know how they’ll hold your heart, it could fall apart in the palms of their hands.

And you will not be able to stand again.

You will be on your knees begging for mercy or reprieve,

you will succumb to your grief as it carries you home. You will be left alone to your suffering and there will be nothing to dry your tears.

You will disappear into your despair, a penance you will have to bear as it swallows you whole.

So please, dearheart, protect your soul because it is too precious to break.

I cannot bear to know you ache deeper than everyone else,

you do not belong on my shelf as another poem for the lost, that is too great a cost that I cannot dare to pay.

Go slowly, love, hesitate. Stay.

Do not jump and fall away if someone will not become your wings.

You do not deserve the ending that comes from the fall.

No relationship is perfect and it can get so toxic to the point that you just wanna give up than keep fighting. It's draining, and along with all the bad things that have been said and all the spirits that have been crushed, it is through forgiveness and faith that give us the strength to try again, and it is love that makes everything worth it after all.

It's impossible to love someone completely without humility, because in love, there should be no room for pride, and in love, it's not about putting or taking the blame, but it is the willingness to humble down and acknowledge your own imperfections and at the same time accepting the other's.

It's impossible to love someone sincerely without having the heart with so much grace willing to forgive after every wrong; the very same heart that does not keep records. To love someone does not mean loving only when it serves you, but loving even when it breaks you, and loving because it is only through that same love we can be healed and make everything brand new.

Fights are necessary in a relationship but it doesn't mean making an enemy out of your partner, but being a solid team so you can fight against the problem better and grow. Your partner is allowed to be angry, you are allowed to be upset. You hurt each other, you talk and then you bleed, you question and then you understand, you make amends, the other forgives, and forgives, and forgives...all for love.
