I was going through my regular daily bout of daydreaming when a question popped into my mind: Does the Demogorgon mate?

This is interesting. I'm not sure it needs to, which doesn't really answer your question because it could mate purely for recreation. I assume it reproduces by injecting hosts, (Will, Barb) but as far as we know, it's the only creature of it's kind.

#the idea that it's trying to increase the Demogorgo population of the right side up is fascinating #reproduction is a biological directive #it makes sense that monsters would feel compelled to produce offspring

Analysis: Lucas’ bedroom

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now and I know other people have also made the connection: Lucas likely has family in the military. In Chapter Three: “Holly Jolly”, he pulls both a bayonet and binoculars “from ‘Nam” out of his backpack for Operation Mirkwood. “Nam” is an informal name for “Vietnam”, typically used in the context of the Vietnam War. There are framed pictures of army-related things in his room as well. We already know he has a camouflage bandana and ammo pouches too (he’s so Rambo, haha).

Another thing I noticed is that as opposed to Mike, who has toys, trinkets, and posters scattered every which way around his room – Lucas’ room is much more neat and uniform, not unlike what you’d expect from a soldier. By the way, I know there’s a popular headcanon that Lucas likes space and astronomy (it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if that turned out to be true). It turns out that he actually has a picture of an astronaut in his room!
