Adam is not “TECHNICALLY” a Winchester. LEGALLY, he is a Milligan. Adam was not raised by John, he was raised by Kate. He was raised by a nurse, not a hunter. Hell, Adam didn’t know what hunting was until he met Sam and Dean. Adam is not a hunter.

What seems to be the defining feature of a Winchester? They’re hunters. They were trained to kill the things that go bump in the night. Adam was just a student from Minnesota.

Sam and Dean look like their parents, John and Mary. Adam looks like his parents, John and Kate. Does Adam have similarities with his brothers? Of course he does! But does he look like they share the exact same parents? No. I think whoever casted him did a good job. Him and Dean look pretty damn similar in some aspects and Adam even sort acts like him. How did that happen? Well, his dad is John.

But here’s the thing, I don’t think Adam was supposed to “act like a Winchester”. I don’t think he was supposed to be exactly like his brothers. I think he was supposed to have his defining features. He was supposed to be different. Imo, he would’ve seemed too much like a Mary Sue if he was too much like Sam and Dean.

All of this sounded better in my head, but i hope it makes sense
