I think more people should consider the long term consequences of low gravity and how they would affect Grace. He’s been on the ship much longer than anyone designing it had anticipated, so there isn’t much equipment that would help him stay active, and lord knows he isn’t getting the right nutrition
Maybe he trips one day, or Rocky runs into him a little too hard. Either way, a muffled snap! can be heard before white hot pain shoots through his entire body. His mouth opens in a silent scream, and he can hear Rocky beginning to panic, but he can’t move. His head is spinning, he feels violently nauseous, everything hurts, and yet he also can’t feel? It’s so disorienting. He finally manages to call for Armando, who drags him back to the med bay. One of his bones snapped, and based on the x-ray, it’s a damn miracle that it didn’t happen sooner. His bones have shrunk significantly. His entire body is comically brittle, it makes him feel so helpless. He can distantly hear Rocky’s vents whistling, which helps to ground him a little, but he can’t help it. He wants this to end so badly. This is everything he was afraid of; being trapped in a giant metal coffin while his body slowly gives out on him. Maybe if he asks nicely, Armando will administer that heroin cocktail Ilyukhina had mentioned..
