Started playing dragon age origins for the first time in like 15 years and I gotta admit I feel like I have no clue what the hell I'm doing lol. I played a few towns worth of my first run before starting over with a fresh view of the systems I'm engaging with and so far on this second attempt I still feel like I'm just barely scraping by every single encounter.
Like Im pretty sure i have a coherent build, and Ive dabbled in tactics to keep my party Alice more but nearly every encounter at least one of my party goes down, usually more. And I'm playing on normal. I can't even imagine what nightmare is like, there's no way I'm supposed to be losing a party member in every fight, I just have no clue what Im doing wrong or how to fix it.
Which sucks because i have fond memories of the game as a kid but there's so much I just don't remember or was added in the ultimate/PC version of the game. Where there really so many damn traps everywhere??? Did they make the game harder or am I missing some core game mechanic that keeps your party from constantly biting the dust?
we all know adult humans dont get enough enrichment but the other day i was walkin home past an empty playground and impulsively ran over to spin myself on this zipline merry-go-round contraption for a few minutes and it really did feel like it unlocked some neglected part of my brain. like damn we really should all go outside and play more. fuck. they werent kidding with this play time thing. have you guys heard about play time. it could be huge.
