WRT lolixgrimmons i do think it'd be funny if felix showed back up and it doesn't go back to the way it used to be because now locus has other friends and theres no war to profiteer off of, but they both do kind of need a bit of the insane codependency in order to keep each other sane. simmons and grif are overprotective and wary of felix for obvious reasons but then they notice that like, now that felix is back and berating locus for putting the mugs back in the cupboards wrong because now his favorite one is all the way in the back and its a hassle to get to even though locus KNOWS he would want to use it to drink his morning coffee (and locus is pouring his tea on felix's head for complaining) that like, locus is waking up with night terrors less often. his skin is clearer. that rash that's been bugging him has miraculously gone away

well logrimmons is established and a good dynamic ofc. its really fun for grif and simmons to have just like, this huge fucking autist who used to be scary and intimidating but now that he has no military structure to succeed in is just completely incapable of knowing how to behave as a regular human, around. it starts as a jealousy thing because of grif and locus having their besties roadtrip and coming back traumabonded after grif went crazy alone on that planet in shisno, grif thinks locus is sooo cool and projects onto him being the exact kind of batman sexy guy type that he was into when he was 15. simmons haates this but obviously would need to warm up to locus eventually, maybe finding out they both have the same nerdy taste in media (but locus is way more secretive/mortified by this fact about himself). because grif and locus are traumabonded also locus is extremely fond of grif in a way that i think honestly would just make things a bit awkward because grif and simmons have such a long running bickering dynamic that is how they show their fondness, having a guy around who deflates that by being legitimately nice to grif all the time is something theyd have to work through, locus would have to learn how to bitch with the rest of them (its not like he doesn't have that in him in canon its just not directed towards his bestie grif who he's imprinting on specifically. maybe he uses grif as a replacement felix and its awful for everyone when they realize that's whats happening)
also i'm sure theyre having weird cute aspec adjacent threesomes where locus just watches and doesnt know what he should be doing here and grif is a pillow princess so simmons is beleagured and doing all the work, sorry. well also lots of fics are about him being good at sex so maybe my take is ooc i just love weird aspec autists who want to be adjacent to sex but are bad at actually having it it's my character bias oops

so i do think logrimmons could become stable but then felix is somehow back from the dead and it throws everything to shit, obviously, because felix is crazyy. i don't have a ton of thoughts on grif/felix dynamic but obviously felix is crazy and BPD and wants locus back but also hates locus for betraying him, but now he has two actually sane-ish people to keep him in check, they don't let him play "i am kidnapping you" ASMR in locus' ears while he sleeps anymore to make him more succeptible to the emotional abuse and he's miserable about it. i think locus would have a problem with it too (along with wash and carolina and sarge, maybe they have a support group) but felix would be hit the hardest by the "you no longer have a military career or goals and your life is just going to be ridiculous slapstick bits until the end of time" thing. and i think this could coincide with simmons having one of his crazy powertrip "hall monitor" arcs and they could end up on chorus' news, we've joked before about simmons' war criminal sugar daddy where they get each other into an NFT pyramid scheme and have to stand trial for it when it all blows up. and alternatively this is in a version where logrimmons doesn't have a chance to become a throuple/simmons is still jealous of grocus when felix shows back up and decides to glom onto felix to make grif jealous in return.
looking back through searching simlix in my dms it's sometimes a different dynamic not considering how grif and locus would balance it out but. looks like we've got

i want a grif/carolina friendship arc so bad. grif realizes it's really easy to take advantage of carolina's guilt complex in order to be lazy (well i WOULD get up and refill the water pitcher but after being shot at for so long as human targets for project freelancer i'm paranoid about sudden movements.... it's called ptsd look it up....... if only someone would do it for me......)
he has a mean girl arc and takes it too far and starts doing stuff that isn't even helpful to him, like telling carolina to wear colored contacts in order to cover up her dad's eyes since the director of project freelancer KIND of traumatized him and everyone he knows, it's only polite. but then he walks into her room to try and get some more favors out of her and sees her just staring at the wall with a thousand yard stare not moving for like 5 minutes. so he decides to try and befriend her and teach her how to be lazy and zen in a positive way instead. not because he feels guilty or anything, no way, just because he's enver seen anyone make relaxing and doing nothing look THAT miserable and tortured and he was personally offended on behalf of laziness, that's all
