York and Delta, when presented with this problem, chose to remain integrated because the separation would cause York harm and Delta, therefore, refused on the grounds that hurting York was unacceptable. They chose, instead, to cope with their new symbiotic but totally co-dependent existence. This lead to all the psychological and physical issues just outlined.

Gamma and Wyoming, presented with the same problem, separated immediately. Wyoming was hurt, badly, but as a result of separating early, the damage was minimal as it could be and he was able to recover. He then joined up with Gamma again to work with him but, you know, not literally living in his brain. This served them better in the long run, both tactically and socially.

Gamma, given a chance to speak with Delta, would have asked him how he could do that to his Freelancer. Delta, given a chance to respond, would not.

once again split between thinking the heist in s9 is the coolest shit in the world and thinking it's so fucking stupid of them to have spent all of s9 on seeing the freelancers before they got the AIs implanted. there's just so much cool stuff about project freelancers history from recollections and the miniseries that gets dropped (reassigning omega but him jumping back to texas for example) because they make three bad decisions back to back. 1. only being animated and not doing any machinimated scenes for the freelancers 2. having tex show up so late into the season and 3. having the AIs not show up for almost all of season 9 were all bad decisions that lead to the story being fundamentally broken. but. but. It's so coooooooool i am fourteen year old and falling towards the sky is the coolest thing ive ever seen it's so coooooool

honestly im kind of surprised i dont remember seeing any fanart that interprets washington's blue armor color with yellow stripes as one where hes sloppily painted blue and just has some spots of his original armor color underneath in crevices and corners and stuff instead of doing it exactly as it is in the show
