Near the small village of Grindelwald, there is a lake. A mystical lake in the mountains called Bachalpsee.

Many people claim their city is the best during the summer, true. Each person's respective city is amazing during the summer, but there is just something about Paris that you can't quite describe. No it's not "love in the air" or art, culture etc. I think it's just the very atmosphere, the vibe if you will, that makes it such a wonderful place to be in the middle of summer. 

Cloudy skies weren't a deterrent as we were hopeful that the sun would peak the through the bleak skies and shine it's lovely rays on us.  We were rewarded with our perseverance as the sun did indeed come through and warm up the whole area.  Enjoy the photos from our adventures in the forest.

The lovely hills of Epesses is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Lavaux, home to many vineyard terraces. Most of the houses in the area date back to the 17th to19th century.  One of the best times to enjoy this quaint town is during the Caves Ouvertes. Many vineyards open up to the public for visits and wine tastings. Bring an empty stomach, camera, and good shoes to these events and you will have a wonderful day of wine, cheese, and beautiful landscapes.
