[ KK’S morbid joke when hardly unnoticed, and it caused NIKO’S eyebrows to raise as he slightly cocked his head to the side while staring at her. He wasn’t expecting her to take such a leap off of their previous small talk, but at the mention of the fact that she’d had a few shots before coming out tonight, it all made sense to him in the end. ] Ohhh, that’s what’s happening right now? You had a lil loosenin’ up, and you good now! [ He chuckled with a shake of his head as she got up from the cushioned bench and took the strides to the lane. ] 18/19 still qualifies you as being a bad ass kid, by the way. Whether you had a parent lookin’ after you or not. But I can understand what you mean. [ He grabbed his 11lb ball once the screen was completely loaded for him to take his turn, before he then took his stance at the end of the lane getting himself comfortable before throwing the ball down perfectly, but ultimately leaving one pin up in the end. Shaking his head a little disappointed, he waited for the ball to come back before taking his second turn, slightly to the left and rolling it down again, clearing the last pin to get himself a strike. ] Okay, so we all tied up now, huh? Your turn again, Ms. Morbidity.

[ NIKO’S eyebrows had raised as he listened to her recurrence of the past; it amused him because thus far she seemed to not have much of a wild side whenever he saw her in passing, but she was proving that she did. ] Oh, so you was one of them bad ass kids that be in here gettin’ these people in trouble ‘cause they serving liquor to minors. ‘Aight! I see what the fuck goin’ on here. [ He chuckled, their conversation had come to a halt as she went for her turn and he didn’t want to be a distraction, he wanted her to have a fair shot. NIKO watched as KK threw the ball down the lane, only knocking down a few of the pins which caused the corners of his mouth to turn down as a smug look adorned his face. ] That ain’t too bad! [ He encouraged just before she took her second turn to then knock down the rest of the pins, getting herself a spare. ] Oh, so I might got a lil’ competition huh! You ain’t too bad, let me find out you cappin’ round here!

Haha, very funny. [ He harmlessly mocked with a roll of his eyes as he watched her input her own name before loading the game up. ] Nah, I definitely used to bowl a lot comin’ up though. Used to be out with my boys on friday nights in high school and shit. It’s been a minute, but I figure it’s like riding a bike. Might be a lil’ rusty to start though. [ He held his hands up to accompany his warning before then motioning for her to go first as he took a seat on the bench that decorated their lane. ] Nah, of course ladies go first. Lemme see what you working wit’.

Nah, not quite. [ NIKO chuckled, while pointing up to the monitor that would show the people on a single lane which at the moment only listed his name. ] My name already up there, but we can go ‘head and plug yours in too. I ain’t gon’ lie, I’m real good at this but if you think you finna’ whoop my ass, let’s do it. [ He had just come back from picking out his ball after putting his bowling shoes on. Walking over to the revolver, he sat his ball down before rubbing his hands together and turning back to face KK. ] What size ball you usually use, 6?

Well, of course. [ NIKO sucked his teeth just before his face had scrunched into an expression of disbelief but still, his eyes had never tore away from the game at hand as the seconds continued to count down until they were at the very last one. Every so often, he was looking over to take peeks at the scoreboard and it wasn’t surprising to him that ESME was able to keep up. With her natural nature being competitive, he never expected anything less but it did let him know that he couldn’t slack even for a moment — though he hadn’t missed any buckets thus far and he seemed to be laying them up with ease on his end. Though he already knew where the conversation could’ve headed off the simple fact that he provoked her often, her response made a genuine chuckle linger from his lips. ] Baby, I was gon’ do that anyway, ‘cause that’s just how I am. These is blanks though, ain’t no kids comin’ up outta’ here anytime soon, shiiiid. [ he chuckled just as the game had finally dialed down to the last second and the buzzer to end it sounded off. He checked the score and to his disbelief they’d ended up tying. On any other occasion, he would’ve wanted a rematch, but that game had lasted long enough and he felt like he was ready to get outta’ there anyway since it was getting so late. ] Damn, shorty. I’m guessin’ we gon’ both get what we asked for, since we tied up? [ He asked with his eyebrows raised, a smug smirk ridden on his features. ] ‘Ay, you tryna’ dip anyway, though? I ain’t realize how late it was like I ain’t gotta’ be at the dealership at probably 9 tomorrow.

Why you feel bad? [ NIKO chuckled, slightly turning his head to the side and peering down at his much shorter counterpart upon receiving the stuffed Pikachu and stepping out of the way of the other players. ] It’s the least I could do, I was talkin’ big bully shit to you. And although I played for your win, it ain’t no sweat. [ he teasingly boasted himself up in the conversation as he slid his hands into the pockets of his red pants, slightly leaned against a gate. ] If that is your way of saying you also want a funnel cake, we can go get one though? [ he lifted his hand up, his thumb pointed in the direction of one of the many funnel cake stands that adorned the local fair. ] We could split it, ‘cause I ain’t gon’ finish the whole thing anyway. They do be bussin’ though. [ his lips though only nimbly pressed together had twisted to the side showcasing one of his dimples. ] Hell yeah. [ NIKO’S eyebrows were meshed together after his moment of lapsed thought. ] That’s what I’m feelin’ for right now. [ his eyes had scanned the area of the nearby stands, looking for whichever one probably had the shortest line they could hop into. ] That line look the shortest right there. [ He pointed just ahead of them. ] We could hop in it right now?

[ NIKO’S lips were pressed together in a tight line as he leisurely bounced the ball in place while they waited for the game to be booted up for their round, he stared at ESME with a knowing look before he finally broke out into a chuckle. ] There she go. [ he couldn’t help his laughs. ] You know it be the biggest losers who talk the most shit? I ain’t missed yet, big mama. [ he knew the nickname could’ve made her mad but he continued to use it anyway just to see the familiar reaction he’d get out of her — one of her eyebrows raised with a snarl on her lips. ] Iono’, you might gon’ have to make it clear for me. Fuck them kids, I ain’t raising none of ‘em. [ Although his focus was now on the game they were participating in, as he was shooting buckets repeatedly and hadn’t missed any yet, he was still going to get his jokes off in the process to maintain his calm and collected demeanor. ]

That’s cool and all, you talkin’ all this game ain’t gon’ go over well for the sport. I was gon’ go easy on you ‘cause you a girl, but if you keep talking big shit, I’ma have to tighten up my laces and really dog ya’ ass out here. [ he spoke with raised eyebrows and a smirk; his face read lightheartedness, but his threats were easily promises when it came to any back-and-forth between he and ESME. ] It ain’t no thing, though. We gon’ really see. [ he chuckled after leaving a kiss on her lips and taking a step forward once it was their turn to go, beginning to warm up for their quick game by taking a shot. Holding the ball at his chest, he aimed it at the corner of the box drawn on the backboard of the hoop, it might’ve been a lucky shot, but it was a successful one as it made that familiar ‘swoosh!’ sound flying through the net. ] If I win, I’ma want a message later. I’ma telling you now. [ NIKO chuckled as he then turned to face ESME. ]

I never been a hater, just observing what I see. And I was standing back there [ he slightly turned to point into the direction of the fence he’d been previously standing against watching the action. ] watching that basketball take you out. But it’s okay, mama. I believe you gon’ do it next time for sure. [ NIKO added with a nod of his head. He was watching wearily as TONI took a second and then a third try at making a shot from the half-court line, until she was successful to which he clapped his hands and cheered her on. ] ‘Ayy! Okay, okay. See, I knew you was gon’ be able to do it all along, I just knew I was gettin’ me that big ass Pokemon up there. [ he pointed up to the top shelf of prizes, at the same time notifying the attendant of the one he was picking out. ] It’s for you, though. I ain’t gon’ keep it. You earned it.
