It was simple, as if I merely closed my eyes and opened them to find that you were there all along.

In the crevices of my mind, I've kept an ever-growing, never ending list of all the reasons why I adore you so: the wrinkles that adorn your visage, always ready to come out and play, when you're truly happy; the eyes that are filled to the brim with magical stardust that dazzle me completely with every flutter of your eyelashes; the frail skin, that I long to desecrate with a meaningless graze of my undeserving fingertips; the low, smooth voice, like a lullaby that caresses me, when I can't seem to sleep; the lungs that constantly work at keeping you alive.

Eternity is not nearly long enough, for me to spell out all the reasons why you are so precious to me. When darkness overtakes me, you are there for me, never judging, never afraid. I've come to believe that all men are inherently evil, but you've given me faith that there's at least one precious gem amongst the mountains of coal. There has been too many times, that I've fought the urge to fall off the edge, but you are always there to bring me back, letting me know that it's okay, it's okay to be sad sometimes, because you will never stop loving me just the way I am. And I will never stop loving you, just the way you are.

There is only one wish I have for you, one favor to ask. Please don't ever let the flame in your eyes burn out, please always wear that brilliant smile across your wondrous features, please always remain joyful and hardworking and optimistic and yourself. This will make up for the fact that I will never be able to gaze upon your face or kiss you.
