Despite having grown up separately, Seokjin and Yena were actually rather similar in terms of personality and quirks. It wasn’t hard to tell that the two were siblings, despite their last names. Seokjin watched as the younger male laughed and almost dropped the bottles he was struggling to carry. ❝ I really don’t think you’ve ‘got them’, ❞ he replied, his face mimicking concern. The boy was clearly struggling. ❝ Thanks for the offer but you seem to have brought them for others so I can’t take one. ❞ He smiled softly.

Seokjin leaned against the wall, the bottom of his foot against the wall. He folded his arms and shrugged, his gaze directed towards his sister once again. ❝ Nah, probably not. I’m not into any of these games. ❞ He turned to face Soobin. ❝ What about you? Playing any games? ❞

soobin makes an ‘o’ shape with his mouth when seokjin mentions that he seemed to have bought it for others. right. his friends. “uh,” he tries, retracting his outstretched hand, tucking it to his side. he looks out to the crowd in a half-hearted effort to search for his friends, but it’s not like the matter’s too urgent. they could probably survive the next couple of minutes without their milkis. (now, is he being a good friend? debatable, is what he’d say.) “alright. more bottles to hold for me.”

seeing the other getting fired up just like him, swept away by the music put a smile on his lips and kikwang just let loose, let his immediate emotions take over his body and dance. he likes the beat, and the interaction he can share with soobin throughout the whole dance. they are able to look at each other, as they synched up their movements, grinning and laughing. it’s a positive experience and he completely forgets about the people around them watching. this wasn’t a match to determine a winner and a loser, it was a dance between friends and partners.

kikwang kicks his leg to the side, throwing an arm up, before turning to the side, making a jumping move backwards. the upbeat rhythm gets to him, and the more they dance, the brighter his smile becomes. this was truly his fortune and his passion. there was nothing that could outbeat dancing. the two of them spin around, drag their hands down the thighs towards the knees.

the younger’s movements are on fire, and he is just glad the two of them agreed to do this together with each other. they weren’t exactly the closest, but kikwang felt like they would swish swish into a closer friendship from now on.

as the dance goes on, the steps get more and more entertaining. soobin hasn’t stopped smiling just yet, finds that the thing he’s exercising most in this dance is probably his cheeks—from constantly grinning. and it looks like they’re not the only ones having fun; the crowd seems happy with their performance, erupting into cheers when they both snap their hips while they turn to face the right, one arm up with the wrist flicking, one hand poised on the waist. 

it’s snappy, sassy, a lot different that the dances soobin’s used to. but having kikwang by his side just made them all the more enjoyable.

he probably was just as nervous as soobin, but the nervousness was seemingly of another nature as it was pure excitement over an audience about to see him following the choreography. just dance wasn’t necessarily his favorite game, even though it was about dancing, but he supposed it was fun playing with a second player, especially when the song they’ve chosen was as extravagant as this one here. the older man grinned at the other male. “being nervous will make this a rollercoaster ride.” absolutely terrifying, yet exhilarating.

the two of them got onto their assigned positions, before the music started to play. kikwang was someone who liked sharp and edgey movements, though he also was capable of smooth moves, but this time around the dance routine they were to perform was that overly special that he thought that it would be funny to exaggerate the movements a little, without looking too feminine or too sloppy. it was just an expression to soobin, his friend, to simply have fun and forget about the eyes staring at them. everyone here was at the event to enjoy themselves, so there was no need to be too nervous.

kikwang started off with the hand moving from one spot to another, bowing shortly at the screen in front of him, palms clasped together before he synched with soobin through a throwing movement. legs spreaded apart, they bended the knees, arms wandering in a circle above their heads as the singer began to sing. kikwang rolled his eyes, waved his hands as if asking someone to move towards him. the movements weren’t not hard to fulfill, and the tempo was just right to follow. glancing at his friend a smile spread over his lips. hopefully soobin had as much fun as he had.

there’s something about dancing that always came naturally to him. it’s been a while, but the feeling’s still the same; there’s that physical restlessness that comes with the prospect of performing, energy that’s soon channeled into the plethora of exhilarating movements portrayed on the screen. he's relieved at the ease of doing this again; just following the choreography, executing the steps, focusing more on enjoying himself and being with a friend than anything else.

kikwang’s on another level altogether, so energetic and fun right at the get-go. soobin tries to keep up, but he finds himself preoccupied with observing kikwang every now and then, smiling wide at his hyung, both from amusement and awe. soobin misses a couple of beats at first, and it makes him chuckle, but he eventually gets the pace.

Seokjin didn’t really game. He dabbled in League of Legends and a few others from time to time but he was not on his sister’s level. Still, being the brother that he was, he had agreed to attend the event to support his sister. He wasn’t sure if she was entering any tournaments (though it might be a bit unfair if she did) but he enjoyed watching her play causally. He was not at all biased towards his sister, not at all.

He had been standing by himself watching his sister when he heard a voice. He turned to find a guy he had met through his sister. They weren’t friends perse, but they knew each other. The boy was holding a lot of bottles. Why didn’t he get a bag? He nodded. ❝ Yeah. When aren’t I watching over her? ❞ He chuckled slightly at his own joke. He was protective, that’s for sure. ❝ Do you need help with those or is this some new kind of workout? ❞ He asked, his gaze directed at the bottles in the other’s arms.

soobin finds himself smiling at seokjin’s joke. he’s always one to make quips, just like his younger sister. their resemblance really is undeniable. “why did i even ask,” soobin responds, shaking his head at himself. seokjin makes another joke and soobin laughs fully this time, ends up jostling the bottles he’s holding and almost making them fall. “it’s fine, i got them,” he says, despite the fact that he almost dropped the bottles earlier in his fit of laughter. “do you want one though?” he extends the milkis towards seokjin, “i could just buy another later. and maybe a bag with it, too.”

first of all, i’d like to apologize to everyone who’s had to deal with my flaky replies and responses to ims ;; i’ve been finding it hard to write/plot for the past couple of weeks due to a number of reasons. but i have since taken a much-needed hiatus, given my muse a revamp, and now i’m ready to sink my teeth into rp again!

there’s something that yuqi’s learning as she presses a brush full of blue eyeshadow to soobin’s face – doing makeup on others is wildly different than yourself but she’s determined that she’s on a roll and soobin, though looking a little, uh colorful, is still handsome in the same breath. she’s sure she just has to finish for everything to come together. “i’m pretty sure this is the most beautiful you’re ever gonna look in your life,” yuqi says with a nod and a smile. “like you look amazing.” 

“you sound suspicious, do you know that?” he asks, glaring at yuqi in an effort to intimidate her—though he’s been told it never really does the job. but he softens up immediately, leaning an elbow on one of the armrests. “i just don’t want to look like a clown in front of my girlfriend.” he sighs, eyebrows knitted together in concern. “i can make a clown out of myself even without the make-up."
