i think a big problem i keep seeing come up is that people really want to believe they’re revolutionary for doing things they just do normally everyday . without actually doing anything in their communities

commenting on a tiktok is radical leftist praxis . going to see the barbie movie is feminist action. whatever

and most of these people are 15 so honestly it’s like . whatever. but seeing the discourse that arises from it. makes me want to die

like these people desperately want to prove to their friends that they are actually radical leftists so they get into the most insane internet fights to ever to establish their leftism and put themselves in a position of authority . because fighting with people online is also apparently praxis now

and i guess it’s mostly well intentioned but these types of people also spread a LOT of misinformation and conspiratorial thinking
