SUPER IMPORTANT COOL THING: there is an Internet Takeover special tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC Radio 1!

Today I got a tattoo (or two) to represent Dan and Phil. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing, but I had wanted to get something of them for a while and since I finally had a day off and had money in my account, why not? 

I’ve been watching these guys for little under two years but they’ve never failed to leave me grinning like an idiot. They played an invaluable part of my recovery and it felt right to express it on my skin. 

I chose cat whiskers from the Phil is not on fire videos which I love endlessly and chose to put them on the front above my ankles as unfortunately, I work full-time and am not allowed to have visible tattoos while on shift. I asked to have the noses and whiskers deliberately imperfect and I’m so pleased with how they both turned out! 

Dan and Phil, if you end up reading this, I want to say thank you. Thank you for always being there no matter what time of day it was, whether it was 1pm in the college toilets when I was crying hard enough to think I’d never stop or 4 in the morning when I was so lonely I could barely breathe. Thank you for never letting me down when I needed you the most. True, it’s different when you’re just on screen and I don’t know either of you at all, but the tiny part of your lives and personalities you share with us has had such a huge impact (so much so, that I now have it permanently on skin to remind me everyday for the rest of my life) on millions. You both continue to daily inspire and save people daily and I don’t believe you have any idea of how large that number is, and on behalf on them, I want to say thank you for keeping their minds alive with colour and hearts beating.
