Zeus did not save her life. Zeus heard her wish to protect her friends and when she fell decreed she would not die in vain. He immortalized her in that pine tree, anchoring a barrier formed by her sacrifice to it. She did not live again until the Fleece was retrieved.

Jason was a teen who heard a prophecy declaring he or Piper would die and declared that it would not be Piper. He joined in the quest to fight the Emperor's knowing his fate. He took his last stand knowing his fate. He died letting them escape, accepting his fate.

Jupiter did not save him because Jason died fulfilling his goal. He let them escape. They were gone. He had accepted his fate. There was no purpose to immortalize, no dying wish to honor. Jason died and it was a tragedy.
