Another Conquest! I tried something different with the inks but it feels kinda stiff. I wanna have a more expressive inking style. Thanks for the support on the last Conquest drawing!
Chain-spider fanart
Credit to @pizza-990 for the design/concept!
I don't usually post studies or WIPS here, but I liked this one that I turned into spidey! The ref is from X-Men of Apocalypse Alpha drawn by Simone di Meo (go read it the art is so good). (Bonus sketches below!)
Conquest ❤️🍝
The way they simplified his mustache in the show makes him look weirdly cute, but I kinda like it. Intentional or not I think it makes him more interesting as a character since he's more of an unserious bloodthirsty type rather than someone more sophisticated and mature like Thragg

Finished the sketch page... another wade and some spideys
Sorry for not sharing much lately, I've been busy with school. Hopefully I can share more in a week or two.
Until then, here's a vamp sketch! (I've been playing the new vampire pve on rivals lately)
1-13 for the sketch page. My goal is to draw 50.

A sketch and a face drawing
Peter and Wade sketches
Face practice sketches.
Tiny deadpool paint practice. I always have trouble capturing his mask just right. I've seen very few comic artists get it "just right" in my opinion. I still don't think I've gotten it "just right" either.
I found some old oc art from 2024...I really want to make a comic about them

hii.. maybe it’s a difficult question, but could you share with us how you built your Wade in your mind? like, from where did you draw inspiration - wether is directly related to any version of him or not. i just saw your last drawing and i fell in love with it, the way you drew his whole head is.. *chef kiss*. if he were physically real, i bet he would look just like that, nothing else.
sorry if the question is hard to answer!! or, if you simply don’t feel like answering, it’s ok! i am curious bc is a process that occupies a good portion of my thoughts when trying to draw him, and it would be interesting to peek at yours!
thanks 🫶
Hi! Thank you for the question, I'm flattered anyone has take such an interest in my little drawings.
Before getting into the long version, here's the short of it. There is so much media, lore, alternate universes, etc. of superheroes/villains. Since I haven't experienced every piece of Deadpool media, I'm left with a lot of room to be curious and fill in the gaps myself. So that's my main strategy haha, take what I've seen in comics (I've only seen the first movie) and build off of that. It's even better when I'm reading a comic and thinking to myself, "I don't really like how they did this with his character...Wait I can just do whatever I want when drawing!". My whole thing with him is to emphasize the "dead man walking theme". I want him to look corpse-like since character-wise he's always on the edge of death.
But ok, here's the actual nerd stuff that'll take too long to read.
My main inspiration for the Deadpool mask/costume is Ed McGuinness, especially how he drew dp during the sm/dp comics.
For post weapon X Wade, I tend to stay away from the "lumps and bumps" approach. Not only is it tedious to draw, but I don't think it serves his character as well as it could. I like it when he's drawn with some exposed muscle, I think it's cool and gory. It fits his identity to me. Same with all the wrinkles; I imagine his skin is thin and very aged looking. While he's got regenerative powers, maybe his DNA was harmed from Weapon X exposing him to tons of radiation or something. So his body constantly regenerates his skin based on that damaged DNA. I also imagine his bone structure to be very prominent, like his skin is plastic wrapped to his body. He'd have little body fat because his powers burn so many calories. That's why he has that little jagged part protruding on his jaw, I kinda just exaggerated the jaw of a real skull. His skin is tissue paper thin and rips easily, exposing muscle. It's very translucent, so it's easy to see the blue veins underneath.
His bone structure is very "robust " I guess, haha. I typically imagine pre-Weapon X Wade to be like the one from Deadpool Death Annual 1998. He's kinda that generic, tall, manly, blonde-haired blue eyed soldier type. Maybe what pre-serum Steve Rodgers wished his physique was like. Anyway, in that depiction, he has this crooked nose. I liked that because it made him feel tough, scrappier, like he's the type to go head first into a fight. It kinda mimics the broken nose look without contradicting his powers (I can justify the damaged DNA to myself, but not the Weapon X version of a fucked up rhinoplasty).
Ok last thing I promise. I like that physically he has a lot of stereotypically masculine traits. I prefer that because he really doesn't conform to gender norms (or much of anything). To me, Deadpool/Wade is a character who will present himself however he wishes, regardless of the body he was born with or the body that was forced upon him.
Thank you for the question!
Another Wade...soon I'll draw him with more expressions
