    Manny Pacquiao has announced that he is considering his retirement in the near future, raising huge doubts over the fight between himself and Floyd Mayweather Jr. 

    The Filipino warrior, who is widely regarded as the number one pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, has revealed that God had told him to retire soon in a dream which occurred last year. 

    If Pacquiao's retirement is indeed imminent, it would make a fight between him and p4p rival Floyd 'Money' Mayweather almost impossible, with the latter serving a 9 month jail sentence which begins in May. 

    Legendary boxing writer, Bert Sugar has sadly passed away at the age of 75. Sugar, who was known for his trademark fedora hat and  cigar combination, passed away after a cardiac arrest, but he also had been battling lung cancer. 

    Danny Garcia outpointed Erik Morales for the vacant WBC title on Saturday night in a fascinating contest in Houston. 

    Morales, who had been stripped of the championship after failing to make the 140lbs weight limit, started well but was ultimately outlasted by the younger, fresher Garcia. 

    Morales started the fight well, his trademark combinations causing the younger man some problems, but Garcia was never in real trouble and came bacjk with some solid shots of his own. 

    The fight itself was a mix of Garcia's aggression and energy against Morales' accuracy and know how, Morales taking the first three rounds in most people's eyes.
