30 Days of Character Development
Describe your characterâs relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no? Khaleesi and her mother both host the same Quori spirit. Khaleesi knows many of her motherâs experiences and as a child often telepathically connected with her mother in order to communicate without her father hearing. Her fatherâs personality split more than most, he was very unstable, moving from the normal calm, serene Kalashtar to agitated quite quickly.
What are your characterâs most prominent physical features? Khaleesi has dark green eyes, which mirror her serene calm, but when the Quori memories come through, her eyes get darker to almost black.
Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they donât have any, is there a reason? She has a small indent on her forehead from where she fell asleep atop a pile of books in the library. She also has a scar across four of her fingers on her right hand, from experimenting with different materials for lute strings, she attempted to use the innards of an animal that attacked her in the forest, however they proved to be acidic and burnt her skin irreparably, she has slight limited movement in her fingers and this is why she records history and writes the songs more often than performing them.
How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive? No more or less vain than the average Kalashtar, although she recognises that Kalashtar are more graceful than humans
Whatâs your characterâs ranking on the Kinsey Scale? n/a
Describe your characterâs happiest memory. When Khaleesi was granted permission to leave the temple-keeps her mother taught her a song that had been in her Quori soul since before the escape from Dal Quor. It was the only time Khaleesiâs mother had sung to her.
Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why? The event where she received her scar and could not play the lute any more, the limitation has held her career back.
Day of Favorites! Whatâs your characterâs favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower? n.a
Who does your character trust? the only thing Khaleesi trusts is knowledge.
Can you define a turning point in your characterâs life? Multiples are acceptable.  Leaving the temple-keep and the burning of her hand.
Is there an animal you equate with your character? This lemur,Â
How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? n/a
What does your characterâs bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep? She sleeps completely still as she does not dream.
How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold? She is used to the cold, from living in the mountains of Adar but does not enjoy heat.
Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl? She does not sleep much, she finds the absence of dreams unnerving and her Quori soul feels more active the longer she attempts to sleep, she prefers to meditate.
Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?  She sings the song her mother taught her everyday, but has not become close to anyone since leaving Adar.
Whatâs your characterâs desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy? She is quite messy, her bag is full of twigs and half eaten snacks, but her pieces of parchment are in perfect order.
Is your character a good cook? Whatâs their favorite recipe, whether theyâre good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.) She can cook a simple mushroom soup which she usually makes to survive, where able she will eat at a tavern though.
Whatâs your characterâs preferred means of travel? Thestral. (if only)
Does your character have any irrational fears? While she longs for dreams she is also afraid of what they might contain, the constant battle inside of her rages.
What would your characterâs  cutie mark be? I am not sure what a cutie mark is?
If your character could time travel, where would they go? To find the Tardis and travel around with  the Doctor, she would be remembered then, as the bard who recorded the Doctorâs stories.
Is your character superstitious? Not particularly.
What might your characterâs ideal romantic partner be? Her intellectual equal, a musical partner to play the songs as she sings them, not as calm as her, but not overtly emotional.
Describe your characterâs hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby? Â Long, covered in paper cuts.
