It was actually really refreshing.

Time to do inventory.

Living with people that weren’t family wasn’t out of the ordinary for Riley. In fact, she often enjoyed it especially when the other person had nowhere to go. That had been what she had done for Bryce and it was a really great experience for her. Riley knew that Asher didn’t always have the best time getting along with his siblings and that sometimes an escape was needed. So, extending a friendly hand, she had invited the male to come stay with her until he got a clear mind and didn’t feeling like strangling anyone. But Riley didn’t expect to actually genuinely enjoy his company. Where a lot of his jokes were corny and not really all that funny, Riley couldn’t help but smile.

"But how can a bear walk into a restaurant and not order sushi? Don’t bears eat fish to begin with?" Riley furrowed her brows, stifling a small laugh as she put away dishes and Asher sat up on the counter.

"Not if it’s on a diet." Asher answered and Riley couldn’t help but finally laugh at how stupid the joke had been. 

"I hope you’re not considering becoming a stand-up comedian because your game’s a little weak. I’d stick with magic if I were you." Riley grinned and leaned against the counter, looking up at Asher. "So how long are you planning on living here, Davis?"
