Me too. I do prefer wearing jeans and leggins. Much more comfortable. And heels! I am going to trip so hard.

To be honest, dear, I don’t think anyone wants to go. If we don’t go, though, bad things could possibly happen to us and no one wants that, do they? What I’m going to do is make my token appearance and then escape back to the comforts of my home to watch some movies. Plus it’s always fun to dress up, right? It’s not every week we get to wear ball gowns and stuff. 

Really? I overheard some girls at the coffee shop talking about how great it's going to be... But maybe they were being sarcastic? I don't know. I guess a token appearance isn't that bad of an idea. But then I feel kinda bad for all the work mom's putting into me going not to at least stay the duration. And I guess it's fun to dress up; I've never really been much of a formal dress person myself. Give me comfort over fashion, I say. Even though this dress is pretty comfortable, strangely enough.

It looks great on you. Nothing wrong with being a little different with a short dress.

To be honest, I wasn't even really planning on going. I mean, nobody's even asked me, and I'm pretty sure nobody will, but she says it's kind of expected of me to go, you know? And there's just going to be so many people there, and I really don't do well in large crowds. I'm not even sure if any of my friends are going, and if they are, they probably all have dates and I'm just going to be standing against the wall, shuffling back and forth, and there are far better ways to pass my time than being a social failure.

Oh. That sounds like fun. I'm... not sure if I'm going or not. My parents think it's a good idea, but I-I don't really do well in large groups of people. I tend to kind of make a spectacle of myself, or at least I feel like I do.
