He shrugged, trying to keep a mysterious aura about him, but he couldn’t help the smile from creeping across his face.

Truthfully, he had no idea what his father did with his laundry and he really didn’t care to ask. Of all the conversations he had with Hades, he needed to talk about much more important things than what happened to his damned souls underware. Nico did know that Hades didn’t always wear those clothes, but what happened to them in between, he didn’t have the slightest clue.

Octavian let out a soft noise, something like a squawk, or perhaps a scoff. Either way, it was high-pitched and utterly offended, yet there was some element of playfulness to it. It was unusual, yet not strange-- it suited him, really. Little by little, he was learning to let his guard down, to let himself exhale and to allow himself to accept that he would... be teased. And that this would be an inevitable part of his life.

People walked over him. People tried to get a rise out of him. People called him names. This was his lot in life. He simply had to stop reacting. Become apathetic and, therefore, "cool".

     ❛     uh, nope — just frank.  although, wouldn’t it be funny if it was franklin?  and then i turned into a turtle?   that would be a hilarious party trick!     ❜     okay, not really — although the idea was enough to get a chortle out of the praetor, who gave octavian a once over before turning back to his notebook.    ❛     your name isn’t short for augustus, is it?     ❜    frank laughed again at his clever joke, lips splitting in a sheepish grin.

All the jokes. Hardly befitting of a praetor, really. Octavian's fragile shoulders squared themselves, eyes burning with a mixture of disapproval and shame-- yes, he had heard of Franklin the turtle once before, and yes, it would actually make for a nice party trick. But he could not STOOP to such a low level as to actually  l a u g h.

pan why was i never informed that ur really adorable

as some of you may have noticed, i haven’t done anything on my blogs for... well, longer than usual. since i have a kajillion blogs, it’s pretty hard to notice, but... some of you guys that talk to me ooc a bunch know that school is really heating up for me + i have a bunch of mental health stuff to figure out.

so basically i’ve hiatused a bunch of my blogs. (hiatus, for me, means leaving the threads tracked in my tracker but also abandoning the blog for however long i need to.) i’m left with seven (and that’s literally terrifying how do i have s e v e n blogs i can’t remember the last time i’ve been under ten), which are as follows:

“Apollo is fine.” the former god sounded a little tired as he repeated that phrase for what seemed like the billionth time. When he finally got back his divinity, lord wasnt going to feel right anymore at this rate.

He regarded the auger in front of him. Honestly, the last thing he’d expected from Octavian was an actual apology. “Uh… Thank you. I’m sorry if I accidentally gave you the wrong ideas while i was indisposed.”

Octavian bit back his I’d rather call you Lester-- after all, it really wasn’t his choice, was it? If the former god wanted to be called Apollo (sans the grandiose title), then this pathetic legacy had no sway in the matter.
