I need to draw this later but it’s late so I wanted to talk about this.

From the years that Louis was serving which were 1911-1913 and in that time frame for about 8 months fort Florence lost all power and communication to higher bases and supply. This meant that everything was carried by letter and was transported in an out by word of mouth or like a game of telephone. Not only that but because fort Florence was severely out numbered by the Sonans the pillar families decided to push the legal age of getting out of training from 15 to 13 if they were trained well enough.

Only 3 months after the gruesome battle of Fort Florence in 1913 where over 75 deaths happened was a letter received to home base specifically sent to Edward Hawkfordt, titled “my last dream”, written by Louis Coleman which was entirely written in East condessan, roughly translated later the letter read these words.

“Pillar watcher from up high, if you are reading this I am either dead or alive haunted by the things I have seen. Do you think this is a joke pillar watcher? A thing to laugh about? My body is rotting pillar watcher, my brother in arms is already one with Earth.

You tricked us pillar watcher, said we’d get glory, get fame, get victory. You led us to a losing battle pillar watcher. You Promised so much for a person with no faith, no shame. Does the blood mean nothing to you if it is not yours. Do you even remember who you guided to fight for you. You disgust me pillar watcher. You make me sick pillar watcher. I will find you pillar watcher.

So as I write this to you pillar watcher, I will promise you this with all the pure faith in my body. I will never dream again, every dream is tainted, every memory comes back, and no matter what I do, every time I reach my hand out to the light. I get mangled and worn. My last dream though, my final dream is for you to finally do what you were meant to do.”
