Troubled Thoughts

im not sure about you but for me personally. it can feel like looking into people’s perfect lives. seeing how happy they are in their own world. while I’m here. feeling confined to the box I’ve put myself in. a box of isolation. regret. self loathing.

but if you look at someone from a perspective that is not their own you will find that their life is not as picture perfect as it seems. looking at someone in a world that is not their own is where you see the small flaws they try so hard to hide. but when they see themselves from our perspective. and our lives from our point of view. they put themselves in their own box. we become unsatisfied with reality.

Let nature run its course

Let people find themselves

Allow yourself to find you as well

Nature will be beautiful

As long as you let it be

As well as will life

So let it run

And be patient

What will happen will happen

And what is meant

I’m tired of this house

Of these people

That think they are gods

I’m tired of these emotions

Of this loneliness

That lurks in the halls

I’m tired of finally gathering enough courage

To say how I feel

And then getting punched in the throat

This house is not full of gods

It’s full of cowards

They are afraid of what they made

And what it’s becoming

But they refuse to listen

Because gods

Every night

I look at the night sky

I tell the stars about my day

And the planets about earth

Because there is stardust in my veins

And I am from another planet

I know

Because this one

Today I cut myself

Not for attention

Not because I wanted to kill myself

I cut myself absentmindedly

To remember what it was like to have pain surging through my veins

To feel the hate I once had, and sometimes still feel

I cut myself to ground myself

To remember what it felt like to hit rock bottom

Today I cut myself

But this time

It stung
