AWW OMG YOU MADE MY DAY ✨ I’m so happy you like it, thanks for letting me know! I really haven’t meant to take so long updating. I took a little break for the holidays, wrote about half of it, and then this past week I just came to this grinding halt, idk why. I’ve sort of been taking these past few days to really work with some weird feelings of perfectionism I’ve been having. I think part of it is that this next chapter starts to get us into some more vulnerable emotions and I did not realize how tricky/not confident I would be writing such things 🙃 The other part is just life during a pandemic, y’know?

i was just talking to one of my readers about how the main thing keeping me from updating was struggling writing more upbeat things when i just... could not relate in any way 💀 trying to keep a genuine lighthearted tone throughout an entire story is something that has been whooping my ass for like ever, which is why i get so shook reading ur stuff bc you make it seem so natural and simple!!

but real talk, and omg i know u literally did not ask so my bad in advance lol but i took a LONG ass break. i feel like readers who truly appreciate ur work will float back around and new ones will come with them so there’s no rush! it takes time to be able to captive feelings like that in writing and it doesn’t help that there’s so much going on outside of the screen! on the same note sometimes it just helps to force the pen and clean up later 😉 those same feelings of uncertainty or confusion we might have when writing can definitely be warped into the character’s feelings if you emerge yourself enough!
