Hawaiin Shirt Party from The Brewing Project. This was very tropical, more coconut than pineapple with citrus in the background. Very tart upfront & a little more tart on the finish.

Great day at Not Lost Brewing in Ottawa, KS. Started with the DIPA, which was great; then had the Saison which was as good (although I’ll take a DIPA over a Saison most days). Finished up with the Pina Colada Sour, which was very good but not as good as the other two.
Side by side of the Maximus beers from Lagunitas. First up was Maximus Colossal IPA. This was really good, hoppy & full bodied, what you expect from an imperial IPA, & well done. Next up was Hazicus Maximus, which was great. A soft grapefruit flavor going more general citrusy on the finish, this one was more aromatic & flavorful than Maximus. I’d gladly have either again, but if I had to pick one it’s the Hazicus.
Infinite Citra from Pipeworks Brewing. A Citra hopped IPA this was citrusy & hoppy, went down really smooth. Definitely would revisit this one.
Confluence, a double dry hopped hazy IPA from Palmer Brewing. Bitter from start to finish, this is hazy & piney hoppy. This is the type of IPA you see all those joke memes and reels about people drinking an IPA for the first time about. That being said I like it, but also know a time in my craft beer journey I would not have

Love Struck IPA from Lovelady Brewing out of Henderson, NV. Man this one was great, mildly hoppy up front but smooth w/a mix of sweetness & tropical flavors on the finish.
Camp Stove, a Robust Porter from Palmer Brewing. Coffeeish, roasty, & a little on the thin side; but this porter is full flavored and goes down super smooth. The finish is so subtle & that roasty coffee taste just lingers. Delightful.
Stunt Double Strong Lager. An 8% lager that is full bodied & effervescent, but also with a finish that was mouth drying. It’s a decent flavor but I’m not sure I’d revisit it with that finish.
Side by side of beers w/strawberry. 1st up was Lil’ Strawb, a collaboration between Toppling Goliath & Drekker. This was great, strawberry & lemon, so smooth. Next up was Color Blind from Celestial Brewing. A sour ale w/strawberry & watermelon, this had a lot more strawberry than watermelon & was a little more tart than the Lil Strawb. Loved them both, but liked Lil Strawb just a little more.
No Paddle IPA from Keg Creek Brewing. A little treat while I do the yardwork. Fairly malty for an IPA but some hoppiness and a nice flavor. Very foamy when poured.

Summer Ale from County Road Brewing. A light ale featuring a pilsner malt. This had a nice flavor, light bodied & crushable, it was lacking much carbonation..
Sickie’s Garage House Blonde on tap at Sickie’s in Overland Park, KS
Ignition IPA at Sickie’s Garage in Overland Park, KS. Pretty decent IPA
Technical Skillset, a triple IPA from Celestial Beerworks. This was awesome, citrusy and tropical & super smooth, going slightly dank on the finish. A great TIPA, grab it if you get a chance.
Jump Around Coffee Stout from Limitless Brewing. Excellent stout, more of a creamy coffee than black coffee flavor.

Sweet Ride Juicy IPA from New Belgium’s Voodoo Ranger series. Smooth & juicy w/a nice citrusy flavor
Side by side of Imperial Red Ales. Man this is the tastiest side by side I’ve done for awhile. First up was The Imperial Texan from Martin House Brewing. This one is so good, a nice balance of malty & hoppy flavors, & this can was more effervescent than I remember IT being. Next up was Morebeard, the imperial version of Redbeard from Walnut River Brewing (those 2 need to be a side by side soon). This one is great. While also a nice mix of hoppy & malty flavors, this one has more of a caramelly flavor making it just a little sweeter. I loved them both, but Morebeard was the winner for me
