Long post alert!!! Two and a half years ago, when I decided to join Rodan + Fields It was really a journey, I didn’t initially jump in. When my cousin first called me and said I would be good at this business, I IMMEDIATELY said “NO”. Direct Sales was my Dad’s thing, not mine. But, I didn’t want to completely tear her up, so I said I would be interested in trying the products. I had been watching her business on line, so I knew the products worked, so what did I have to lose! Since, I wasn’t really “IN” to skincare, I didn’t use the products the way they were intended and in time, I ended up with 2 boxes of Redefine in my closet, hahah! (See I do understand you, when you say, “I just don’t think I can do a 5 minute routine!) I continued to watch my cousin through her Facebook posts and I saw that her team was growing and guess what?? Three more cousins joined her!!! Now my fear of missing out on something that could be BIG was starting to grow! I mean, what did they know that I wasn’t understanding??? Then convention came and that about did it for me! THINK ABOUT IT... Why this model and why skincare? Here are some truths: 1. Anti-aging skincare is SMART business. It is one of the only industries that everyone ages into and nobody ages out of. It also happens to be a multi billion dollar industry globally and will bring in the equivalent of 20 NFL's in just a couple of years. 2. "Everyone you know" is already on the R+F train. You've got smart friends. But realistically, the amount of working R+F consultants is about the equivalent of the population of Santa Barbara, CA. So imagine that the entire population of Santa Barbara (about 100k) was servicing the entire country and Canada. That's not a lot!! Trust me, we haven't even begun to scratch the surface. There are lots of people with skin on this earth. They are gonna hear about it from someone - why shouldn't it be you? 3. My business is a WILLABLE business - a legacy business. Yep, that means I can leave my business to my children well after I leave this earth and they will continue to earn income from a business I started FOR THEM. Why not plant a garden for your children to water? 4. You have the opportunity to start a business in a booming and sustainable industry for less than $1000 with no ceiling as to how much earning potential there is. Do you have a cap on your salary? Why? Because someone said "this is how much your talent is worth?" How about you create your own ceiling? 5.
